Integration

Windmill integration

Windmill turns scripts (Python, TypeScript, Go, Bash, SQL) and flows into internal apps, APIs and scheduled jobs. This integration covers the read and run surface of a Windmill instance: run a script or a flow by path, hash or version and wait for its result, follow a job's progress, list and count queued and completed jobs and read their results, timings, arguments and logs, browse scripts, flows, apps and raw apps with their versions, history and deployment status, read resources, resource types and their values, variables and contextual variables, schedules, folders, groups, users and workspaces, read audit logs, drafts, saved inputs, flow conversations and capture payloads, list HTTP, websocket, Kafka, NATS, MQTT, SQS, GCP, Postgres, AMQP, Azure and email triggers and their history, browse the public Windmill Hub for scripts, flows, apps and integrations, and manage workspace object storage files (upload, download, move, delete, list, preview metadata, storage usage). Note that Windmill answers most create, update and delete calls with a plain-text body (the new path, hash or job id), which this catalog cannot decode, so those routes are not exposed here. The host is part of the credential because every install is its own deployment (Windmill Cloud users point it at app.windmill.dev). Authentication is a Windmill token sent as a bearer token in the Authorization header.

Ask it in chat

Say what should happen.
The workflow builds itself.

When this happens, do that in Windmill.Built from the 220 Windmill tools below, on the connection you add once.

What you can do with Windmill

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

Use Windmill from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect Windmill in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Windmill operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

Set up the MCP server step by step

How to connect Windmill

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect Windmill once

Add your Windmill connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
