Shopify integration
E-commerce platform API for online store management. Manage products, orders, customers, inventory, and storefront content. Features webhook support, fulfillment management, and extensive customization for building e-commerce integrations and automation. NOTE: The REST Admin API is a legacy API as of October 1, 2024 - Shopify recommends building on the GraphQL Admin API (use the execute_graphql endpoint). Public apps shipped after April 1, 2025 must be built exclusively with GraphQL; REST endpoints for products/variants/product images are deprecated as of REST 2024-04.

What you can do with Shopify
Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.
Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

Shopify API rate limits
- 2 requests per second
REST Admin API uses a leaky-bucket algorithm. Standard plans: 2 req/sec leak rate, 40 request bucket. Shopify Plus: 20 req/sec leak rate, 400 request bucket. 429 + Retry-After header on overflow. Monitor with X-Shopify-Shop-Api-Call-Limit response header. GraphQL Admin API uses a separate cost-based bucket: 50 points/sec restore, 1000 points max (Standard); 100 points/sec, 2000 points max (Plus); single query may not exceed 1000 points. Source: https://shopify.dev/docs/api/admin-rest/usage/rate-limits + https://shopify.dev/docs/api/usage/limits
These are the limits Shopify documents, not ones LiveContext measured. They can change and often depend on your plan, so check the Shopify documentation for current values.
Use Shopify from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex
Connect Shopify in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Shopify operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.
claude mcp add --transport http livecontext https://livecontext.ai/mcp --header "X-API-Key: YOUR_API_KEY"[mcp_servers.livecontext]
url = "https://livecontext.ai/mcp"
[mcp_servers.livecontext.http_headers]
"X-API-Key" = "YOUR_API_KEY"{

"livecontext": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://livecontext.ai/mcp",
"headers": {
"X-API-Key": "YOUR_API_KEY"

}
}
}How to connect Shopify
- Create your workspace
Sign up free. Nothing to install.
- Connect Shopify once
Add your Shopify connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.
- Describe the job in chat
The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
