Integration

Twist integration

Twist API v3 for asynchronous team communication: list workspaces and channels, create and archive channels, open, update, close and reopen threads, read and post comments, browse conversations and send direct messages, and work through the inbox. Authentication uses an OAuth access token or a personal token sent as a bearer token.

Ask it in chat

Say what should happen.
The workflow builds itself.

When this happens, do that in Twist.Built from the 18 Twist tools below, on the connection you add once.

Common Twist use cases

  • summarising a discussion
  • summarising a direct exchange
  • creating a channel per project
  • publishing a release announcement
  • keeping a status thread up to date
  • archiving a channel when a project ends
  • finding the channel to post a thread in
  • summarising the replies of a discussion
  • closing a thread once a ticket is resolved
  • collecting unanswered threads for a digest

What you can do with Twist

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

Thread, 6 operations

  • reopen_threadReopen threadPOSTPuts a closed discussion back into the active list.

Use Twist from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect Twist in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Twist operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

How to connect Twist

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect Twist once

Add your Twist connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
