Seedance integration

ByteDance Dreamina Seedance video generation on BytePlus ModelArk. Generates cinematic videos from text and/or reference images and videos, with native audio, multi-shot cuts, and physics-aware motion. Exposes the Seedance 2.5 and Seedance 2.0 series (standard, fast, mini). Supports text-to-video, image-to-video, first/last-frame conditioning, and reference-based generation. Tasks are asynchronous: submit a task, then poll the retrieve endpoint until status reaches a terminal state.

Ask it in chat

Say what should happen.
The workflow builds itself.

When this happens, do that in Seedance.Built from the 2 Seedance tools below, on the connection you add once.

Common Seedance use cases

  • Generate marketing or product videos from a brief
  • Poll until status='succeeded' to fetch the MP4 URL
  • Animate still product photos for e-commerce
  • Detect failures and surface error.message to the user
  • Read content.last_frame_url to chain a continuation clip
  • Chain multiple clips via first_frame/last_frame for longer narratives
  • Track total_tokens for cost reporting
  • Produce concept reels for storyboarding

What you can do with Seedance

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

  • create_video_taskCreate video taskPOSTSubmit a Seedance 2.0 video generation task from text and optional reference images.
  • get_video_taskGet video taskGETPoll a Seedance 2.0 video generation task and retrieve its video_url once complete.

Use Seedance from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect Seedance in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Seedance operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

Claude Code

How to connect Seedance

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect Seedance once

Add your Seedance connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
