NetScaler ADC integration
NetScaler ADC NITRO configuration and statistics API: read and edit load balancing virtual servers, services, service groups and servers, enable or disable them during maintenance, save the running configuration, and read live throughput and connection statistics for virtual servers, services and the appliance itself. This talks directly to a NetScaler management address, so that address must be a publicly resolvable host reachable over HTTPS. Requests authenticate statelessly with a user name and password sent as headers on every call.
Say what should happen.
The workflow builds itself.
Common NetScaler ADC use cases
- publishing a new service through the load balancer
- persisting a verified change so it survives a reboot
- removing a decommissioned host from the configuration
- retiring a virtual server for a decommissioned service
- removing a decommissioned backend from the configuration
- finding which backend service is failing its health check
- taking a service out of rotation for a maintenance window
- checking why a published service is down before escalating
- taking one backend out of every rotation it participates in
- auditing which service groups exist and how they are monitored
What you can do with NetScaler ADC
Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.
Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.
Lb vserver, 7 operations
create_lb_vserverCreate lb vserverPOSTCreates a NetScaler load balancing virtual server that listens for client traffic.delete_lb_vserverDelete lb vserverDELETERemoves a NetScaler load balancing virtual server so it stops accepting traffic.get_lb_vserverGet lb vserverGETReturns a single NetScaler load balancing virtual server.get_lb_vserver_statsGet lb vserver statsGETReturns live NetScaler virtual server counters such as hits, requests and current connections.list_lb_vserversList lb vserversGETReturns the NetScaler load balancing virtual servers with their addresses and algorithms.set_lb_vserver_stateSet lb vserver statePOSTTakes a NetScaler load balancing virtual server in or out of service without deleting it.update_lb_vserverUpdate lb vserverPUTChanges the settings of a NetScaler load balancing virtual server.
Service, 4 operations
create_serviceCreate servicePOSTCreates a NetScaler service pointing at a backend address and port.delete_serviceDelete serviceDELETERemoves a NetScaler service and its bindings.get_service_statsGet service statsGETReturns live NetScaler service counters so you can see which backends are carrying the traffic.list_servicesList servicesGETReturns the NetScaler services, the backend endpoints that virtual servers distribute traffic to.
Server, 3 operations
create_serverCreate serverPOSTCreates a named NetScaler server object that services can be built on.delete_serverDelete serverDELETERemoves a named NetScaler server object.list_serversList serversGETReturns the NetScaler server objects, the named backend addresses that services are built on.
System, 3 operations
get_ns_configGet ns configGETReturns NetScaler appliance settings such as host name, addresses and time zone.get_system_statsGet system statsGETReturns live NetScaler appliance counters such as processor use, memory use and throughput.save_configSave configPOSTPersists the NetScaler running configuration so it survives a reboot.
Service group, 1 operation
list_service_groupsList service groupsGETReturns the NetScaler service groups, which manage many identical backends as one unit.
Use NetScaler ADC from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex
Connect NetScaler ADC in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its NetScaler ADC operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

}How to connect NetScaler ADC
- Create your workspace
Sign up free. Nothing to install.
- Connect NetScaler ADC once
Add your NetScaler ADC connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.
- Describe the job in chat
The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
NetScaler ADC integration FAQ
