Integration

Missive integration

Missive public API v1, the shared inbox that puts email, SMS, WhatsApp and social channels in one collaborative thread. List and filter conversations by inbox, assignment, state or shared label, open one and read its messages, its internal comments and its integration posts, assign it, label it, close or reopen it and merge duplicates, create email drafts and send them, publish integration posts into a conversation, and manage the contact database with its contact books and groups. Also exposes the organisation directories of teams, users and shared labels.

Ask it in chat

Say what should happen.
The workflow builds itself.

When this happens, do that in Missive.Built from the 20 Missive tools below, on the connection you add once.

Common Missive use cases

  • sending an answer by email from a workflow
  • listing what is assigned to the token owner
  • summarising an email thread before replying
  • syncing contacts changed since the last run
  • adding a new customer to the shared contact book
  • moving a conversation into the support team inbox
  • resolving the contact book to create a contact in
  • finding the group identifier to put a new contact into
  • cancelling a scheduled email after the customer replied
  • checking who a conversation is assigned to before acting

What you can do with Missive

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

Use Missive from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect Missive in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Missive operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

How to connect Missive

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect Missive once

Add your Missive connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
