Juniper Mist integration

Juniper Mist cloud network management API: read the organization and its sites, inventory claimed hardware and move it between sites, list and inspect access points, switches and gateways with their live statistics, search devices, alarms and wireless clients over a time window, and read wireless network and webhook configuration. Mist runs twelve regional clouds and an organization lives on exactly one of them with no global redirect, so the cloud host is part of the credential. Requests authenticate with a Mist API token.

Say what should happen.
The workflow builds itself.

When this happens, do that in Juniper Mist.Built from the 15 Juniper Mist tools below, on the connection you add once.

Common Juniper Mist use cases

  • onboarding a new office before shipping hardware to it
  • checking how many clients are connected to a site right now
  • finding hardware that was claimed but never assigned to a site
  • finding which access point a complaining user was connected to
  • pulling unacknowledged critical alarms into an incident workflow
  • finding every device that is currently disconnected across all sites
  • assigning newly claimed access points to the site they were shipped to
  • discovering which organization and site identifiers a token can act on
  • listing every switch and gateway at a site before a maintenance window
  • reading the stored configuration of an access point before changing it

What you can do with Juniper Mist

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

Device, 3 operations

  • get_site_deviceGet site deviceGETReturns the stored configuration of a single Mist access point, switch or gateway.
  • list_site_devicesList site devicesGETReturns the access points, switches or gateways configured at a Mist site.
  • search_org_devicesSearch org devicesGETSearches Mist devices across an organization by address, name, model, version or site.

Inventory, 2 operations

  • get_org_inventoryGet org inventoryGETReturns every access point, switch and gateway claimed by a Mist organization, assigned or not.
  • update_org_inventoryUpdate org inventoryPUTMoves Mist hardware between sites, or releases it from the organization.

Use Juniper Mist from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect Juniper Mist in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Juniper Mist operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

How to connect Juniper Mist

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect Juniper Mist once

Add your Juniper Mist connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
