Hygraph integration

Hygraph (formerly GraphCMS) is a federated, GraphQL-native headless CMS. Authors model structured content (entries, assets, localized fields, relations) and consume it through an auto-generated GraphQL endpoint that supports queries, mutations, publishing/unpublishing, asset management, and Relay-style pagination. This integration targets the regular read & write endpoint authenticated with a Permanent Auth Token (PAT).

Common Hygraph use cases

  • Editing a blog post
  • Adding a new blog post
  • Removing obsolete posts
  • Going live with a new article
  • Loading a post for a detail page
  • Fetching a list of posts/products/pages
  • Listing all images in the media library
  • Pulling a published article back to draft
  • Importing an image already hosted elsewhere
  • Discovering content models before generating a query

What you can do with Hygraph

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

Entry, 6 operations

  • POSTmutation_create_entry

Create a new entry in a Hygraph content model.

  • POSTmutation_delete_entry

Delete a Hygraph entry by ID.

  • POSTmutation_publish_entry

Publish a Hygraph entry, optionally across multiple locales.

  • POSTmutation_unpublish_entry

Unpublish a Hygraph entry, optionally for specific locales.

  • POSTmutation_update_entry

Update fields on an existing Hygraph entry.

  • POSTquery_entry_by_id

Fetch a single Hygraph entry by ID for a given content model.

Asset, 1 operation

  • POSTmutation_create_asset_from_url

Create a new Hygraph asset by URL ingestion.

Assets, 1 operation

  • POSTquery_assets

List Hygraph assets (images, files, media) with optional filtering and pagination.

Entries, 1 operation

  • POSTquery_entries_by_type

Run an arbitrary GraphQL query against the Hygraph content endpoint to fetch entries of any model.

Schema, 1 operation

  • POSTquery_models_metadata

List all content models and types declared in the Hygraph project via GraphQL introspection.

Use Hygraph from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect Hygraph in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Hygraph operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

How to connect Hygraph

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect Hygraph once

Add your Hygraph connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
