Integration

GoatCounter integration

GoatCounter is a lightweight, privacy-friendly web analytics tool that counts pageviews without cookies or personal data. This integration covers its REST API: read pageview totals and per-path pageviews over a date range, broken down by hour or day and filtered to chosen paths, read the referrers that sent traffic to one path, read the browser, operating system, screen size, location, language, campaign and top-referrer breakdowns and drill into any one of them, list the tracked paths of a site, send pageviews in from your own code instead of the tracking script, start a CSV export of the raw hits and download it when it is ready, and manage the sites of an account together with the settings and linked domain of each. The host is part of the credential because a GoatCounter site has its own address: enter yourcode.goatcounter.com for the hosted service, or the hostname of your own install. Authentication is an API key created in GoatCounter under the user menu, sent as a bearer token; the key's permissions decide which of these calls it may make.

The workflow builds itself.

When this happens, do that in GoatCounter.Built from the 16 GoatCounter tools below, on the connection you add once.

What you can do with GoatCounter

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

Site, 5 operations

  • create_siteCreate sitePUTCreate a new site under this account.
  • get_siteGet siteGETGet one site of this account.
  • list_sitesList sitesGETList the sites of this account, including the sites linked to it.
  • replace_siteReplace sitePOSTReplace a site with what is sent, blanking every field the request omits.
  • update_siteUpdate sitePATCHUpdate only the fields of a site that the request sends.

Export, 3 operations

  • create_exportCreate exportPOSTStart a background export of the raw hits of a site.
  • download_exportDownload exportGETDownload the finished export file.
  • get_exportGet exportGETCheck the progress of an export.

  • get_total_pageviewsGet total pageviewsGETGet the total number of pageviews and events over a date range.
  • list_pageviewsList pageviewsGETGet pageviews per path over a date range, with a count per hour or per day.

Stat, 2 operations

  • list_statsList statsGETGet one visitor breakdown of a site: browsers, operating systems, locations, languages, screen sizes, campaigns or top referrers.
  • list_stats_detailList stats detailGETBreak one entry of a visitor breakdown down further, for example the versions of a browser.

Use GoatCounter from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect GoatCounter in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its GoatCounter operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

How to connect GoatCounter

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect GoatCounter once

Add your GoatCounter connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
