Cloudsmith integration

Cloudsmith is a hosted package and artifact registry that serves 30-odd package formats out of one repository. Create, configure and delete repositories, set their retention rules, per-team and per-user privileges, GeoIP allow rules and storage region, connect repositories to one another, and read the public GPG, RSA, ECDSA, Ed25519 and X.509 material a consumer needs to trust them. Push packages: upload for Alpine, Cargo, CocoaPods, Composer, Conan, Conda, CRAN, Dart, Debian, Docker, Generic, Go, Helm, Hex, HuggingFace, LuaRocks, Maven, MCP, Nix, npm, NuGet, P2, Python, Raw, RedHat, Ruby, Swift, Terraform, Vagrant and VSX, either directly or by requesting an upload URL and completing a multipart upload. Then list, read, tag, copy, move, quarantine, resync, rescan, relicense and delete them, read their dependencies and synchronisation status, run bulk actions over many at once, and restore or purge what is in the recycle bin. Read vulnerability scan results for a namespace, a repository, a package or a single scan, package usage metrics, storage and bandwidth quota with its history, the repository audit log, and the reference lists of supported formats, distributions and storage regions. Authentication is a Cloudsmith API key sent in the X-Api-Key header.

What you can do with Cloudsmith

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

Use Cloudsmith from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect Cloudsmith in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Cloudsmith operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

How to connect Cloudsmith

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect Cloudsmith once

Add your Cloudsmith connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
