Budibase integration

Budibase is a low-code platform for building internal tools and business apps on top of internal or external data. Its public API works with workspaces (apps): create, read, update, delete, search, publish, unpublish, import and export them; with tables and their schema; with rows, including create, read, update, delete and a search that filters, sorts and paginates; with views and the rows behind a view; with saved queries against external data sources and their execution; with users, including create, read, update, delete and search; and with role assignment and unassignment. Every table, row, view and query call is scoped to one workspace by the x-budibase-app-id header, which takes an app id starting with app_ for the published version or app_dev for the development version. The host is part of the credential so the same entry serves Budibase Cloud (use budibase.app) and a self-hosted install. Authentication is a Budibase API key sent in the x-budibase-api-key header; it carries the RBAC permissions of the user it belongs to.

What you can do with Budibase

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

Use Budibase from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect Budibase in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Budibase operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

How to connect Budibase

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect Budibase once

Add your Budibase connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
