What you can do with Atomic

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

Task, 4 operations

  • GETget_task_details

Retrieves full task details including company, connector, deposit data, and status.

  • GETget_task_status

Retrieves lightweight task status for polling. Returns status, payrollDataAvailable, and failReason.

  • GETget_user_tasks

Lists all tasks (payroll connection attempts) for a user with their status and results. Track connection progress and outcomes.

  • POSTtask_prescreen

Pre-screens a task to predict conversion confidence before creating it.

Webhook, 4 operations

  • POSTcreate_webhook_endpoint

Registers a webhook endpoint to receive real-time event notifications from Atomic.

  • DELETEdelete_webhook_endpoint

Deletes a webhook endpoint and stops all event notifications to that URL.

  • GETget_webhook_endpoints

Lists all registered webhook endpoints with their URLs, secrets, and subscribed event types.

  • PUTupdate_webhook_endpoint

Updates an existing webhook endpoint's configuration.

Secret, 3 operations

  • POSTcreate_api_secret

Creates an API secret for webhook HMAC signature verification.

  • DELETEdelete_api_secret

Deletes an API secret. Fails if the secret is assigned to active webhook endpoints.

  • GETget_api_secrets

Lists all API secrets with their IDs, names, and associated webhook endpoints.

User, 3 operations

  • PUTend_monitoring

Ends payroll data monitoring for a user. Stops continuous access data syncing.

  • POSTpre_screen_user

Pre-screens a user via CoAuth to check payroll provider support and income sources.

  • PUTupdate_user

Updates user data in Atomic, typically in response to an onDataRequest event from the Transact SDK.

Access token, 2 operations

  • POSTcreate_access_token

Creates an access token for initializing Atomic Transact. Required to launch the user-facing payroll connection interface.

  • PUTrevoke_access_token

Use Atomic from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect Atomic in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Atomic operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

How to connect Atomic

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect Atomic once

Add your Atomic connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
