Arweave integration

Arweave Permanent Storage API for immutable, decentralized data storage that lasts forever. Store data permanently with a single payment, retrieve content via transaction IDs or ArNS names, query the permaweb with GraphQL, and build applications on permanent infrastructure. Perfect for NFT metadata, legal records, historical archives, and any data requiring permanent preservation without ongoing costs.

Common Arweave use cases

  • blockchain exploration
  • getting latest block
  • storing NFT metadata
  • uploading large files
  • verifying stored data
  • checking upload budget
  • checking upload status
  • browsing wallet history
  • estimating upload costs
  • retrieving stored files

What you can do with Arweave

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

Transaction, 8 operations

  • GETget_pending_transactions

Returns transaction IDs currently pending in the Arweave mempool. Shows unconfirmed transactions awaiting block inclusion.

  • GETget_transaction

Retrieves metadata for an Arweave transaction. Returns owner, tags, data size, and block confirmation information.

  • GETget_transaction_field

Retrieves a single field from an Arweave transaction. Returns the field value as plain text.

  • GETget_transaction_offset

Returns data offset and size for a transaction. Used for chunked data downloads.

  • GETget_transaction_status

Returns confirmation status of an Arweave transaction. Shows block height and number of confirmations.

  • GETget_tx_anchor

Returns a transaction anchor hash for use in new transactions. Protects against replay attacks.

  • POSTgraphql_query

Queries the Arweave network using GraphQL. Search and filter transactions by tags, owners, recipients, blocks, and data attributes.

  • POSTsubmit_transaction

Submits a signed transaction to store data permanently on Arweave. One-time payment ensures data availability forever.

Wallet, 4 operations

  • GETget_wallet_balance

Returns the AR token balance of a wallet address. Balance is returned as a Winston string.

  • GETget_wallet_deposits

Lists incoming transfer transaction IDs for a wallet. Returns partial index from the contacted node.

  • GETget_wallet_last_tx

Returns the last outgoing transaction ID for a wallet. Useful as an anchor value for new transactions.

  • GETget_wallet_txs

Lists transaction IDs made by a wallet address. Returns a JSON array of Base64URL-encoded transaction IDs.

Block, 3 operations

  • GETget_block_by_hash

Retrieves an Arweave block by its indep_hash. Returns block metadata, transactions, and mining information.

  • GETget_block_by_height

Retrieves an Arweave block by height. Returns block hash, timestamp, transactions list, and mining details.

  • GETget_current_block

Retrieves the current network head block. Returns the latest block metadata and transactions.

Network, 2 operations

  • GETget_network_info

Returns current Arweave network status. Includes block height, node version, peer count, and network queue.

  • GETget_peers

Returns the list of peer addresses known by the Arweave node. Shows connected peers as IP:port strings.

Price, 2 operations

  • GETget_price

Calculates the one-time cost to permanently store data on Arweave. Returns price in Winston (smallest AR unit).

  • GETget_price_with_target

Calculates storage cost including a target wallet for AR transfers. Extra fee for first transaction to new addresses.

Chunk, 1 operation

  • POSTupload_chunk

Uploads a data chunk for a previously submitted transaction. Used for large file uploads.

Transaction data, 1 operation

  • GETget_transaction_data

Downloads the permanent data content from an Arweave transaction. Returns raw data with appropriate Content-Type from tags.

Use Arweave from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect Arweave in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Arweave operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

How to connect Arweave

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect Arweave once

Arweave needs no credential, so its tools work immediately.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
