Argo CD integration

Argo CD is a declarative GitOps continuous-delivery controller for Kubernetes. Its API server exposes applications and application sets with their sync, rollback, resource tree, managed resources, live resource read and patch, resource actions, events, links, manifests, server-side diff, sync windows and revision metadata, AppProjects with their roles, tokens, sync windows and detailed views, git and OCI repositories and write repositories with their credentials, refs, Helm charts, OCI tags, app discovery and access validation, target clusters with cache invalidation and auth rotation, TLS certificates, GnuPG signing keys, local accounts with their tokens and passwords, notification services, templates and triggers, permission checks, and server settings and version. The host is part of the credential because every install is its own deployment. Authentication is an Argo CD JWT sent as a bearer token: generate one from a local account with argocd account generate-token, or use a project role token.

What you can do with Argo CD

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

Use Argo CD from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect Argo CD in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Argo CD operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

How to connect Argo CD

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect Argo CD once

Add your Argo CD connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
