Action Network integration

Action Network organising API, version 2: read and update the people in a group, create events and record who is attending, publish petitions and record signatures, read forms and their submissions, and manage tags and the taggings that put people into them. Responses follow the OSDI and HAL conventions, with collections wrapped in an _embedded container and the API key sent in a dedicated header.

Ask it in chat

Say what should happen.
The workflow builds itself.

When this happens, do that in Action Network.Built from the 18 Action Network tools below, on the connection you add once.

Common Action Network use cases

  • tagging everyone who attended an event
  • exporting signer comments for a press release
  • recording an RSVP captured on another platform
  • syncing the supporter list into another system
  • publishing the upcoming event list on a website
  • publishing a live signature counter on a website
  • printing the sign-in sheet the morning of an event
  • recording signatures gathered on paper at an event
  • following up with everyone who filled a volunteer form
  • launching a petition from an internal campaign planner

What you can do with Action Network

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

Use Action Network from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect Action Network in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Action Network operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

How to connect Action Network

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect Action Network once

Add your Action Network connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
