Knowledge Manager in action

  1. User: Customers upload CSV files bigger than 2 MB and it works, but our import article says: "The maximum file size is 2 MB." The release note for version 6.1 says: "Client imports now accept CSV files up to 10 MB." Is that sentence wrong?

  2. Knowledge Manager: Yes, that sentence is out of date. Your release note says the limit is now 10 MB, and customers are already uploading larger files. Suggested replacement: "The maximum file size is 10 MB." Please confirm with your product team that the limit is the same on every plan before you publish. To check every article against a period of tickets and release notes, with the tickets counted and the articles ranked, run the Outdated Help Article Finder app.

What it does for you

  • Spots help articles that tickets or release notes contradict
  • Shows the article's sentence and the exact words that contradict it
  • Counts the tickets that hit each contradiction and ranks articles by impact
  • Marks each article Up to date, Review or Rewrite
  • Suggests the replacement sentence without inventing a fact
  • Keeps every flagged article on your Fix board until it is fixed
