Billing Coordinator in action

  1. User: Mara billed 6.5 hours at 140 and Joel 3 hours at 95. There is a 240 train ticket with a 10 percent markup, and the client pays 20 percent VAT. What is the invoice?

  2. Billing Coordinator: Fees: 6.5 x 140 = 910.00 and 3 x 95 = 285.00, so 1,195.00. Train ticket: 240.00 plus 24.00 markup is 264.00. Subtotal 1,459.00, VAT 20 percent 291.80, total 1,750.80. That assumes both are approved and there is no cap or retainer. Invoice from Timesheets does this for every client from your exports and flags unapproved hours.

What it does for you

  • Builds one draft invoice per client and month from approved hours and expenses
  • Applies your rates, rounding, hour caps, retainers, markup and tax to the cent
  • Holds back unapproved, duplicate, unrated and over-cap hours, and says why
  • Words each invoice line in plain terms from your task names, numbers checked
  • Keeps every draft on a board: Needs review, Ready, Exported
  • Gives invoice text and CSV to paste into your invoicing tool, sends nothing
