Integration

y.gy integration

y.gy is a URL shortener and QR code generator. An agent can create a short link (optionally on a verified custom domain, with a chosen suffix, a password, an expiry date, social preview fields, device-specific destinations and QR code colors), then list the account's links or read one by id, each with its short URL and QR code (SVG markup and a PNG link). Editing and deleting links, the tags routes and the email and password token routes are not exposed. Authentication is an API key from My Account in the y.gy dashboard, sent in the api-key header.

Ask it in chat

Say what should happen.
The workflow builds itself.

When this happens, do that in y.gy.Built from the 3 y.gy tools below, on the connection you add once.

What you can do with y.gy

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

  • create_linkCreate linkPOSTCreate a short link that redirects to destination_url. Returns the link with its id, short url and QR code (SVG markup and a PNG link). Pass suffix to choose the end of the link.
  • get_linkGet linkGETGet one short link by its id (from create_link or list_links): destination, short url, QR code, tags and settings.
  • list_linksList linksGETList the short links of the account, 25 per page by default (use limit and offset to page). Returns links and total_links.

Use y.gy from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect y.gy in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its y.gy operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

Claude Code

How to connect y.gy

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect y.gy once

Add your y.gy connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
