Integration

Visible integration

Visible (visible.vc) is investor-relations and portfolio-monitoring software for startups and venture funds. Read and create metrics and upsert their data points; create contacts and notes on them; for funds, manage portfolio company profiles, their custom properties and values, portfolio notes, folders, file tags and files (rename, move, tag, delete, temporary download links). Uploading a new file (a presigned S3 form upload between two calls) is not offered. Authentication is an access token issued to a Visible user (request it from Visible support), sent as a Bearer token; it sees the companies that user sees. company_id is in the app URL (app.visible.vc/companies/<id>). Limit: 500 requests per 5 minutes.

Say what should happen.
The workflow builds itself.

When this happens, do that in Visible.Built from the 31 Visible tools below, on the connection you add once.

What you can do with Visible

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

File tag, 4 operations

  • create_file_tagCreate file tagPOSTCreates a file tag (a label for portfolio files) in a company or fund.
  • delete_file_tagDelete file tagDELETEDeletes a file tag, by its id from list_file_tags. Permanent.
  • list_file_tagsList file tagsGETReturns a page of the file tags of a company or fund (id, name). Their ids are what update_portfolio_file's file_tag_ids and list_portfolio_files' file_tag_id take.
  • update_file_tagUpdate file tagPUTRenames a file tag, by its id from list_file_tags.

Portfolio file, 4 operations

  • delete_portfolio_fileDelete portfolio fileDELETEDeletes a portfolio file, by its id from list_portfolio_files. Permanent.

  • delete_portfolio_folderDelete portfolio folderDELETEDeletes a portfolio folder, by its id from list_portfolio_folders. Permanent.

  • update_portfolio_company_profileUpdate portfolio company profilePUTUpdates a portfolio company profile. The vendor's schema requires name and company_id on every update: read the profile first (list_portfolio_company_profiles) and send its current values back with the change.

Portfolio note, 3 operations

  • upsert_data_pointsUpsert data pointsPUTCreates or updates up to 50 data points of one metric in one call, each a date (start of the period) and a value; a date that already has a value is updated with the new one.

Use Visible from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect Visible in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Visible operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

How to connect Visible

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect Visible once

Add your Visible connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
