Integration

Upwave integration

Upwave is a visual task board tool for teams: Workspaces hold Teams, Teams hold Boards, and Boards hold Cards arranged in columns, rows and colors. List the Workspaces and Boards the user can access, read a Board's columns, rows and colors, and create a Card on a Board with its content, due date, color and position, for example to turn a form submission or an email into a task. Reading, updating and deleting existing Cards, TaskListItems (sub-tasks), Comments, Attachments, Teams, members and notifications are not included in this integration. Authentication is the user's personal API key (Settings, Account tab in Upwave), sent in the Authorization header as Token followed by the key.

Ask it in chat

Say what should happen.
The workflow builds itself.

When this happens, do that in Upwave.Built from the 5 Upwave tools below, on the connection you add once.

What you can do with Upwave

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

Board, 2 operations

  • get_boardGet boardGETReturns one Board with its structure: the columns (each with a state, 1 to 3 in the documented example), the rows and the colors Cards can be tagged with.
  • list_boardsList boardsGETLists the Boards of a Workspace that the user can access, each with its title, purpose, Team and creator. A Board id is what create_card needs. Use q to find a Board by title.

Workspace, 2 operations

  • get_workspaceGet workspaceGETReturns one Workspace (the top-level container of all Upwave data) with its title, logo and the permissions the API key's user has on it.
  • list_workspacesList workspacesGETLists every Upwave Workspace the API key's user can access, with its id, title, logo and the user's permissions on it.

Card, 1 operation

  • create_cardCreate cardPOSTCreates a Card on a Board. The Card's title is taken from the first line of its description.

Use Upwave from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect Upwave in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Upwave operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http livecontext https://livecontext.ai/mcp --header "X-API-Key: YOUR_API_KEY"

How to connect Upwave

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect Upwave once

Add your Upwave connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
