UK Parliament Commons Votes integration

The UK Parliament's open data API for House of Commons divisions (recorded votes). Search divisions by title, member, division number or date range, fetch one division with every MP who voted aye or no and the tellers, see the aye and no counts of each division broken down by party, and list how a given MP voted across divisions. Member ids are the Parliament member ids (the same ids the UK Parliament Members API uses). The bare result-count route is left out. No authentication: the API is free and open, with no key or registration.

What you can do with UK Parliament Commons Votes

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

Division, 1 operation

  • get_divisionGet divisionGETGet one House of Commons division by its id: title, date, number, aye and no counts, the tellers, and every MP recorded as voting aye, voting no, or with no vote recorded.

Groupedbyparty, 1 operation

  • search_divisions_grouped_by_partySearch divisions grouped by partyGETSearch House of Commons divisions with the same filters as search_divisions and get, for each one, how many MPs of each party voted aye and how many voted no. Without queryParameters.startDate it only covers recent divisions (the last few months).

Membervoting, 1 operation

  • list_member_voting_recordsList member voting recordsGETList the voting record of one MP: for each division, whether they voted aye or no or acted as a teller, with the division itself. Filter by words in the title, division number or date range.

Search, 1 operation

  • search_divisionsSearch divisionsGETSearch House of Commons divisions by words in the title, a member who voted, a division number or a date range, newest first. Each result carries the counts and tellers; the per-MP aye and no lists are only filled by get_division.
