U301 integration
U301 is a URL shortener. Shorten a long URL into a short link on a U301 domain or on one of your own custom domains, optionally with a custom alias and a title, delete a short link, and list the domains available for shortening (public system domains and your private ones). Shortening the same long URL twice in one account returns the existing short link. The QR code route is not exposed (it returns an SVG image and is currently disabled by the vendor). Authentication is a U301 API key sent as a Bearer token in the Authorization header.
Say what should happen.
The workflow builds itself.
What you can do with U301
Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.
Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.
Link, 2 operations
delete_linkDelete linkDELETEDeletes a short link of your account. Pass the short link as domain/code, as in the shortened value returned by shorten_link without its https:// prefix.shorten_linkShorten linkGETCreates a short link for a long URL and returns it in shortened, with its code and status. Shortening a URL already shortened in this account returns the existing link. Pass domain for a custom domain, slug for a custom alias.
Domain, 1 operation
list_domainsList domainsGETLists the domains you can use for short links: public ones provided by U301 and your private custom domains. Pass a domainName from data as domain to shorten_link.
Use U301 from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex
Connect U301 in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its U301 operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.
claude mcp add --transport http livecontext https://livecontext.ai/mcp --header "X-API-Key: YOUR_API_KEY"[mcp_servers.livecontext]
url = "https://livecontext.ai/mcp"
[mcp_servers.livecontext.http_headers]
"X-API-Key" = "YOUR_API_KEY"{
"mcpServers": {
"livecontext": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://livecontext.ai/mcp",
"headers": {
"X-API-Key": "YOUR_API_KEY"
}
}
}
}How to connect U301
- Create your workspace
Sign up free. Nothing to install.
- Connect U301 once
Add your U301 connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.
- Describe the job in chat
The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
