Thoughtly integration
Thoughtly runs AI voice agents that place and answer phone calls. Create, update, list and delete contacts, place an outbound call from a voice agent to a contact, list agents (called interviews in the API) and search the calls each agent made, subscribe or unsubscribe a callback URL to call events, and start an Automation that uses an Incoming Webhook trigger. Building or editing agents is left to the Thoughtly dashboard. Authentication sends two headers on every request: the API token as x-api-token and the team id as team_id, both shown under Settings, Developer in the dashboard; the API allows 100 requests per minute.
Say what should happen.
The workflow builds itself.
What you can do with Thoughtly
Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.
Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.
Contact, 3 operations
delete_contactDelete contactDELETEPermanently delete a contact by its id (from list_contacts). This cannot be undone.get_contactGet contactGETGet one contact by its id (from list_contacts or create_contact): name, phone number, email, tags and custom attributes. Answers 404 when no such contact exists.list_contactsList contactsGETList contacts, 20 per page by default (page starts at 0, limit up to 50). Filter by search text, tags, excluded tags or contacts with a phone number.
Automation, 1 operation
trigger_automationTrigger automationPOSTStart a Thoughtly Automation whose trigger is an Incoming Webhook, sending any JSON object as its input. In Draft Mode the data only updates the test values; in Live Mode it runs the automation.
Call, 1 operation
call_contactCall contactPOSTPlace a real outbound phone call NOW from a voice agent to an existing contact (create it first with create_contact). The call starts immediately and uses your Thoughtly call minutes.
Create, 1 operation
create_contactCreate contactPOSTCreate a contact (a person a voice agent can call). Returns the contact in data; pass its id to call_contact. Only phone_number is required.
Interview, 1 operation
list_agentsList agentsGETList voice agents (called interviews in the API), 20 per page by default. Filter by search text or status (ACTIVE, ARCHIVED). The id of an agent goes to call_contact and search_agent_calls.
Response, 1 operation
search_agent_callsSearch agent callsGETSearch the calls one voice agent made (its responses), 20 per page by default. Filter by search text, response tags, status or job id.
Subscribe, 1 operation
subscribe_webhookSubscribe webhookPOSTSubscribe a callback URL to a call event: NEW_RESPONSE (a new call response) or PHONE_TRANSFER (a call transferred to a phone). Thoughtly shows no signing secret, so deliveries cannot be verified.
Unsubscribe, 1 operation
unsubscribe_webhookUnsubscribe webhookDELETERemove a webhook subscription: give the same event type and callback URL used when subscribing (see list_webhooks).
Update info, 1 operation
update_contactUpdate contactPOSTUpdate a contact by its id: name, first or last name, phone number, email, country code or custom attributes. Only the fields you send change; leave the others out to keep them.
User, 1 operation
get_current_userGet current userGETGet the user the API token belongs to, including user id, name and email. Useful to check the credentials work.
Webhook, 1 operation
list_webhooksList webhooksGETList the webhook subscriptions active for the authenticated user: which call events are sent to which callback URL.
Use Thoughtly from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex
Connect Thoughtly in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Thoughtly operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

}How to connect Thoughtly
- Create your workspace
Sign up free. Nothing to install.
- Connect Thoughtly once
Add your Thoughtly connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.
- Describe the job in chat
The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
