SportsDataIO NHL serves National Hockey League data: games and scores (live or final) by date, schedules, standings, team and player profiles, injuries, goalie depth charts, starting goaltenders, line combinations, transactions, referees, box scores and play-by-play, player and team game and season stats, team stats allowed by position, fantasy points, projections, DFS slates, RotoBaller premium news, player headshots, and betting data: pre-game, period and in-game odds with line movement, betting events, markets, results, player props, futures, splits and trends. Authentication is a SportsDataIO API key (free trial or paid subscription) sent in the Ocp-Apim-Subscription-Key header; a free trial key returns scrambled scores, stats and odds (moved 5 to 20 percent), while schedules, teams and players are accurate. Not included: XML output and the routes the documentation no longer lists, nor the games-in-progress check, which answers a bare true or false.
