SimplyRETS integration

SimplyRETS turns an MLS (RETS or RESO Web API) feed into a REST API for real estate listings. Search active, pending and closed listings by price, size, beds, baths, city, postal code, map polygon or agent; fetch one listing by mlsId; list the listing keys of a search to audit a replicated dataset; find open houses; get market analytics for a search (average price, living area, bedrooms, baths, lot size and year built, counts per MLS area) or the price per square foot of one listing; and read the agent and office rosters of the feed. Every route is a read: nothing is written to the MLS, and the metadata (OPTIONS) route is not exposed. Authentication is HTTP Basic with the API key as username and the API secret as password, from an app created in the SimplyRETS account; the demo pair simplyrets / simplyrets returns sample listings.

The workflow builds itself.

When this happens, do that in SimplyRETS.Built from the 9 SimplyRETS tools below, on the connection you add once.

What you can do with SimplyRETS

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

Analytic, 2 operations

  • get_market_analyticsGet market analyticsGETReturns market statistics for the listings matching a search (same filters as list_properties): averages of price, living area, bedrooms, full baths, lot size and year built, the number of matches, and the count per MLS area.
  • get_property_analyticsGet property analyticsGETReturns the price per square foot of one listing (its current list price divided by its living area), by SimplyRETS mlsId.

Openhouse, 2 operations

  • get_open_houseGet open houseGETReturns one open house by its openHouseKey (from list_open_houses), with its schedule, type, remarks and full listing.
  • list_open_housesList open housesGETLists open houses with their start and end times, type and remarks, each with its full listing. Filter by property type, listing, cities, brokers, agent, price, area, beds, baths or start date.

Property, 2 operations

  • get_propertyGet propertyGETReturns one listing by its SimplyRETS mlsId (from list_properties or list_property_keys), with the same fields as a search result.
  • list_propertiesList propertiesGETSearches the listings of the connected MLS feed and returns full listing objects (address, price, status, property details, photos, agent, office, school, tax and geo data). Defaults to active residential and rental listings, 20 per page.

Agent, 1 operation

  • list_agentsList agentsGETLists the agents of the MLS feed roster (MLS id, name, address, contact, office id), filtered by keyword (agent id or email), name or state. Requires the Agents API add-on on the SimplyRETS app.

Key, 1 operation

  • list_property_keysList property keysGETReturns only the mlsId values of the listings matching a search (same filters as list_properties, up to 5000 keys per page), to audit a replicated dataset and remove listings that left the feed. Not available to the demo credentials.

Office, 1 operation

  • list_officesList officesGETLists the offices (brokerages) of the MLS feed roster, most recently modified first, filtered by keyword (office id, email or name), name or state. Requires the Offices API add-on; the demo credentials cannot call it.

Use SimplyRETS from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect SimplyRETS in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its SimplyRETS operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

How to connect SimplyRETS

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect SimplyRETS once

Add your SimplyRETS connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
