Integration

ShortPen integration

ShortPen is a branded link and QR code manager. Create short links on your own or ShortPen domains (custom slug, UTM parameters, QR code, tracking pixel, password, cloaking), edit or soft-delete them, list the links of a workspace page by page, look up the domains, folders, tags, pixels and workspaces to use, read the plan quotas still available, and export raw click events for a date range. The plain-text health check route is not exposed. Authentication is an organization API key (Settings, Organization, API Keys) sent as a Bearer token; the API allows 60 requests per minute per key.

Ask it in chat

Say what should happen.
The workflow builds itself.

When this happens, do that in ShortPen.Built from the 8 ShortPen tools below, on the connection you add once.

What you can do with ShortPen

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

Link, 3 operations

  • delete_linksDelete linksDELETESoft-deletes one or more links of the organization: they stop resolving and leave list_links at once, their analytics are kept and the dashboard can restore them. data.deleted counts the links removed; 404 if no id matched.
  • list_linksList linksGETLists the links of a workspace, page by page (limit at most 100). total gives the number of links: keep raising page while page times limit is under total. Each item's id is the url_id for update_link and delete_links.
  • update_linkUpdate linkPUTChanges an existing link: send url_id and only the fields to change, every field left out keeps its current value (a call with no field to change answers 400). Returns data.link and data.qr; data.created is false.

Analytics, 1 operation

  • list_click_eventsList click eventsPOSTReturns every raw click event of the organization between start and end (inclusive dates, YYYY-MM-DD), optionally for one workspace or one link (url_id): link, domain, slug, device, platform, browser, country, referrer and time. Read-only.

Generate, 1 operation

  • create_linkCreate linkPOSTCreates a short link in the workspace and returns data.link (domain plus slug) and, when generate_qr is true, data.qr as a base64 PNG. Counts against the monthly link quota (HTTP 429 once exhausted). domain_id comes from list_resources.

Get, 1 operation

  • list_resourcesList resourcesPOSTLists one kind of supporting resource of the organization, chosen by resource: domain, folder, tag or pixel. Read-only; use it to find the domain_id, folder_id, tag_ids and pixel_id values. Workspaces are read with get_organization.

Me, 1 operation

  • get_account_usageGet account usagePOSTReturns the API key owner's name and email and, per feature (links, QR codes, custom slugs...), whether it is enabled on the plan and its limit, used and remaining counts. Call it before a large batch of create_link calls.

Organization, 1 operation

  • get_organizationGet organizationPOSTReturns the organization the API key belongs to: name, logo and its workspaces (id and name). Read-only; use it to find the workspace_id values the other tools accept.

Use ShortPen from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect ShortPen in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its ShortPen operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

How to connect ShortPen

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect ShortPen once

Add your ShortPen connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
