Short Menu integration

Short Menu is a link shortener and link management service. The API lets an agent create a short link for a destination URL on the shm.to domain or on one of the account's custom domains, with an optional custom slug and tags, change the destination URL or tags of an existing short link, and delete a short link. The vendor's documented API has no route to list or read links, so the link object returned by create_link (its id, short URL and click count) is what later calls refer to. Authentication is an API key created at shm.to/create-api-key, sent in the x-api-key header.

The workflow builds itself.

When this happens, do that in Short Menu.Built from the 3 Short Menu tools below, on the connection you add once.

What you can do with Short Menu

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

  • create_linkCreate linkPOSTCreate a short link that redirects to a destination URL, on the shm.to domain or one of the account's custom domains, with an optional custom slug and tags. Returns the link object, whose id is what update_link and delete_link take.
  • delete_linkDelete linkDELETEDelete an existing short link, identified by the id of the link object returned by create_link.
  • update_linkUpdate linkPUTUpdate an existing short link: change its destination URL, its tags, or both. A field left out keeps its current value. Returns the updated link object.

Use Short Menu from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect Short Menu in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Short Menu operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

How to connect Short Menu

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect Short Menu once

Add your Short Menu connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
