Integration

SeekTable integration

SeekTable is a self-service BI tool for pivot tables, charts and dashboards over CSV files and databases. An agent can list and read the reports, cubes (data sources) and dashboards saved in a cloud SeekTable account, export a report as PDF, Excel, CSV, HTML, PNG or JSON and a dashboard as Excel or PDF, email a report to a recipient, and upload a CSV file to create or refresh a CSV cube. The cloud API allows 50 calls a day on a free account (suspended after 90 days without a login) and 500 with Advanced publishing; passing report parameters needs Advanced publishing. The account backup route is left out (it returns cube configurations, which can hold database connection details). This integration calls cloud SeekTable at www.seektable.com, not a self-hosted install. Authentication is the account API key from Manage Account, Get API Key, sent as is in the Authorization header.

The workflow builds itself.

When this happens, do that in SeekTable.Built from the 9 SeekTable tools below, on the connection you add once.

What you can do with SeekTable

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

Report, 4 operations

  • export_reportExport reportGETGenerates a saved report in the requested format (pdf, excel, excelpivottable, csv, html, png or json) and returns it as a file, identical to an export from the SeekTable web interface. Get report_id from list_reports.
  • get_reportGet reportGETReturns the metadata of one saved report: id, name, type (pivot or table) and its configuration as a JSON string.
  • list_reportsList reportsGETReturns metadata for every report saved in the SeekTable account: Id (GUID), Name, ReportType (pivot or table), CubeId, Config (configuration as a JSON string), Url and dates. Use an Id with export_report or share_report_by_email.
  • share_report_by_emailShare report by emailPOSTSends an email with a saved report to one recipient: the report HTML in the body (with its chart as an image) unless turned off, plus optional PDF, CSV or Excel attachments. Sends a real email on every call.

Cube, 3 operations

  • get_cubeGet cubeGETReturns the metadata of one cube (data source): id, name, source type, uploaded file name for CSV cubes, and creation date.
  • list_cubesList cubesGETReturns metadata for every cube (data source) in the SeekTable account: Id (GUID), Name, SourceType, SourceTypeId (file-csv for CSV cubes), SourceFile (CSV cubes only) and CreateDate.
  • upload_csvUpload csvPOSTUploads a CSV file (plain, .gz or .zip) and creates a new CSV cube, or refreshes an existing CSV cube with the file's data when cubeId is given. Returns the created or refreshed cube's metadata.

Dashboard, 2 operations

  • export_dashboardExport dashboardGETExports a dashboard as an Excel workbook or a PDF and returns the file. The export of that format must be enabled on the dashboard; only for accounts with dashboards enabled.
  • list_dashboardsList dashboardsGETReturns every dashboard accessible in the SeekTable account (only when dashboards are enabled for it): Id (GUID), Name and CreateDate. Use an Id with export_dashboard.

Use SeekTable from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect SeekTable in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its SeekTable operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

How to connect SeekTable

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect SeekTable once

Add your SeekTable connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
