Refuge Restrooms integration

Refuge Restrooms is a crowd-sourced, non-profit directory of safe restrooms for transgender, intersex and gender nonconforming people, worldwide. Find the restrooms nearest to a latitude and longitude (within 20 miles, closest first), run a full-text search over names, addresses, directions and comments, list the newest records, or list records created or updated since a date. Each result says whether the restroom is unisex, ADA accessible and has a changing table, with its address, coordinates and visitor ratings; filters keep only unisex or accessible ones. Results come 10 per page by default, at most 100. The API is read-only and needs no credential.

The workflow builds itself.

When this happens, do that in Refuge Restrooms.Built from the 4 Refuge Restrooms tools below, on the connection you add once.

What you can do with Refuge Restrooms

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

By date, 1 operation

  • list_restrooms_since_dateList restrooms since dateGETLists restrooms created on or after a date (or updated on or after it, with updated=true), newest first. Useful to sync new or changed records since a previous run.

By location, 1 operation

  • find_restrooms_nearFind restrooms nearGETFinds restrooms within 20 miles of a latitude and longitude, closest first, each with its distance in miles and bearing from that point. Combine with unisex or ada to keep only matching restrooms.

Restroom, 1 operation

  • list_restroomsList restroomsGETLists restroom records, newest first, with address, coordinates, unisex, accessibility and changing-table flags and visitor ratings. Use page and per_page to walk the whole directory, ada or unisex to filter.

Search, 1 operation

  • search_restroomsSearch restroomsGETFull-text search over restroom names, streets, cities, states, countries, directions and comments (English stemming, accents ignored). Returns the matching restrooms with their flags, coordinates and ratings.
