Pirate Weather integration

Pirate Weather is a Dark Sky compatible weather API built on government weather models (NOAA HRRR, NBM, GFS, GEFS, ECMWF, DWD MOSMIX, Canadian models). Get the current conditions, a minute-by-minute precipitation outlook for the next hour, hourly and daily forecasts, a twice-daily forecast, severe weather alerts and air quality for any latitude, longitude or city, country, or read the historical weather of a past date through the Time Machine. Authentication is an API key from pirateweather.net (subscribe to the forecast API after signing up), sent in the apikey header; the key placeholder in the request path is filled automatically.

Say what should happen.
The workflow builds itself.

When this happens, do that in Pirate Weather.Built from the 2 Pirate Weather tools below, on the connection you add once.

What you can do with Pirate Weather

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

Forecast, 1 operation

  • get_forecastGet forecastGETWeather forecast for a latitude, longitude or city, country: current conditions, next-hour minutely precipitation, 48 hourly and 8 daily entries, alerts and flags. Use get_historical_weather for past dates.

Historical weather, 1 operation

  • get_historical_weatherGet historical weatherGETHistorical weather for a past time at a latitude, longitude or city, country (location must end with ,time): the conditions at that time plus that day's hourly and daily data. Use get_forecast for the future.

Use Pirate Weather from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect Pirate Weather in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Pirate Weather operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

How to connect Pirate Weather

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect Pirate Weather once

Add your Pirate Weather connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
