Integration

Pastefy integration

Pastefy is a code and text snippet sharing service (pastefy.app). Agents can create, read, edit, delete and star pastes, file pastes in folders, list your pastes, starred pastes and folder tree, and browse public, latest and trending public pastes. API key management and the admin user routes are not exposed, and the integration targets the public pastefy.app instance only (self-hosted servers are not supported). Authentication is a Pastefy API key, created at pastefy.app/apikeys with the permissions you need, sent as a Bearer token.

The workflow builds itself.

When this happens, do that in Pastefy.Built from the 19 Pastefy tools below, on the connection you add once.

What you can do with Pastefy

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

Paste, 6 operations

  • create_pasteCreate pastePOSTCreates a paste and returns it with its id and raw_url. UNLISTED (anyone with the link) unless visibility says otherwise; PUBLIC also lists it in the public feeds. Needs the pastes:create permission.
  • delete_pasteDelete pasteDELETEPermanently deletes one of your pastes. Returns success. Needs the pastes:delete permission.
  • get_pasteGet pasteGETReturns one paste with its content, title, visibility, tags, folder, owner and timestamps. A PRIVATE paste is returned only to its owner. Encrypted pastes come back as ciphertext.
  • list_pastesList pastesGETLists pastes the API key can see (yours, your starred ones and public ones), newest first, 50 per page by default. Filter by tags, text search or filter[visibility|folder|type]. Needs pastes:read.
  • list_user_pastesList user pastesGETLists the pastes you own, newest first, 50 per page by default, with optional tag, text and field filters. Needs the pastes:read permission.
  • update_pasteUpdate pastePUTChanges one of your pastes: content, title, visibility, folder, tags (the full new list), expiry or type. Only the fields you send change. Returns success only; call get_paste to read the result. Needs pastes:edit.

Folder, 5 operations

  • create_folderCreate folderPOSTCreates a folder (optionally inside one of your folders, given as parent) and returns it with its id, to use as folder in create_paste. Needs the folders:create permission.
  • delete_folderDelete folderDELETEPermanently deletes one of your folders. Returns success (false when the folder is not yours). Needs the folders:delete permission.
  • get_folderGet folderGETReturns one folder with its subfolders and its pastes. Needs the folders:read permission.
  • list_foldersList foldersGETLists your folders (flat, newest first, 10 per page by default), with optional name search. Needs the folders:read permission.
  • list_user_foldersList user foldersGETReturns your whole folder tree: top-level folders with their subfolders and pastes, trimmed with the hide_* flags. Needs the folders:read permission.

Public paste, 3 operations

  • list_latest_pastesList latest pastesGETLists the most recently created public pastes, optionally narrowed to tags. Public content written by other people.
  • list_public_pastesList public pastesGETLists public pastes from all users, optionally narrowed to tags or to one user id. Public content written by other people.
  • list_trending_pastesList trending pastesGETLists the currently trending public pastes, optionally narrowed to tags. Public content written by other people.

Star, 3 operations

  • list_starred_pastesList starred pastesGETLists the pastes you starred, newest first, with optional tag and text filters. Needs the stars:read permission.
  • star_pasteStar pastePOSTStars a paste for the API key owner, so it appears in list_starred_pastes. Returns success. Needs the stars:create permission.
  • unstar_pasteUnstar pasteDELETERemoves the API key owner's star from a paste. Returns success. Needs the stars:delete permission.

User, 2 operations

  • get_current_userGet current userGETReturns the account the API key belongs to: id, name, display name, picture and role; logged_in is false when the key was not accepted.
  • get_user_overviewGet user overviewGETReturns your top-level folders (under folder) and your pastes that are in no folder (under pastes, 10 per page). Needs both pastes:read and folders:read.

Use Pastefy from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect Pastefy in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Pastefy operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

How to connect Pastefy

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect Pastefy once

Add your Pastefy connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
