Obolus is a salary and tax calculator for eight countries (DE, AT, CH, US, UK, IE, CA, AU). Compare net pay, income tax, employee social contributions and effective rate for one gross salary (or each country's median gross) across two or more countries, or run a detailed single-country payroll calculation (German tax class, federal state, church tax, health insurance, pension). Results are estimates. Not included: the MCP transport, the MCP discovery descriptor, the OpenAPI document and the health check. The public calculation tools need no credential (REST limits: compare_salary_across_countries 20 requests per 5 minutes, calculate_net_salary 60 per 5 minutes).
