Motion integration
Motion is an AI calendar and task manager that schedules tasks into the user's working hours. List workspaces, users, statuses and schedules; list, read, create, update, move and delete tasks; list and create projects (also from a project template); list recurring tasks; and read and add comments on tasks. Custom fields, creating or deleting recurring tasks, unassigning a task and turning auto-scheduling off are not exposed. Authentication is an API key created in Motion's Settings, sent in the X-API-Key header; an individual account is limited to 12 requests per minute (teams up to 120).

The workflow builds itself.
What you can do with Motion
Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.
Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.
Task, 5 operations
create_taskCreate taskPOSTCreates a task in a workspace. With autoScheduled set (and a dueDate), Motion schedules it into the assignee's calendar.delete_taskDelete taskDELETEDeletes a task.get_taskGet taskGETReturns one task by id, with its schedule (scheduled start and end, chunks), status, assignees, project, labels and custom field values.list_tasksList tasksGETLists tasks, filtered by workspace, project, assignee, label, status or a name substring, with their schedule, status, assignees and custom field values. Without workspaceId, tasks of every workspace of the user are returned.update_taskUpdate taskPATCHUpdates a task's name, description, due date, duration, status, priority, labels, project, assignee or auto-scheduling.
Project, 3 operations
create_projectCreate projectPOSTCreates a project in a workspace, optionally from a project template (projectDefinitionId with one stages entry per template stage).get_projectGet projectGETReturns one project by id, with status, description and custom field values.list_projectsList projectsGETLists the projects of a workspace, with status, description and custom field values.
Comment, 2 operations
create_commentCreate commentPOSTAdds a comment, written in GitHub Flavored Markdown, to a task.list_commentsList commentsGETLists the comments on a task, with their HTML content, author and creation time.
Me, 1 operation
get_my_userGet my userGETReturns the user who owns the API key (id, name and email).
Move, 1 operation
move_taskMove taskPATCHMoves a task to another workspace, optionally assigning it to a user there.
Recurring task, 1 operation
list_recurring_tasksList recurring tasksGETLists the recurring tasks of a workspace, with assignee, creator, project, status, priority and labels.
Schedule, 1 operation
list_schedulesList schedulesGETLists the API key user's schedules (such as Work Hours), each with its timezone and its working hours per weekday. A task's schedule field takes one of these names.
Status, 1 operation
list_statusesList statusesGETLists the task statuses of a workspace, with which one is the default and which ones are resolved (terminated).
User, 1 operation
list_usersList usersGETLists the members (id, name, email) of a workspace or of a team.
Workspace, 1 operation
list_workspacesList workspacesGETLists the workspaces the API key's user belongs to, with each workspace's labels and statuses. Pass ids to get only some workspaces.
Use Motion from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex
Connect Motion in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Motion operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

}How to connect Motion
- Create your workspace
Sign up free. Nothing to install.
- Connect Motion once
Add your Motion connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.
- Describe the job in chat
The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
