Microsoft Clarity integration

Microsoft Clarity is a free website behaviour analytics tool. Its Data Export API returns a project's dashboard data for the last 24, 48 or 72 hours: traffic (sessions, bot sessions, users, pages per session), scroll depth, engagement time, popular pages, referrers, page titles and frustration signals such as dead clicks, rage clicks, quick backs, excessive scrolling and script errors, optionally broken down by up to three dimensions (browser, device, country or region, OS, source, medium, campaign, channel or URL). The vendor allows 10 requests per project per day and returns at most 1,000 rows with no pagination. Session recordings and heatmaps are not part of this API. Authentication is a project API token (a JWT) generated by a project admin under Settings, Data Export, sent as a Bearer token.

Common Microsoft Clarity use cases

  • pulling yesterday's website traffic by device or country into a report
  • monitoring rage clicks and dead clicks on a site

What you can do with Microsoft Clarity

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

  • get_project_live_insightsGet project live insightsGETExports the project's Clarity dashboard metrics for the last 24, 48 or 72 hours, optionally broken down by up to three dimensions. Limited to 10 calls per project per day and 1,000 rows.

Use Microsoft Clarity from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect Microsoft Clarity in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Microsoft Clarity operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

How to connect Microsoft Clarity

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect Microsoft Clarity once

Add your Microsoft Clarity connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
