Mercedes-Benz Car Configurator integration
The Mercedes-Benz Car Configurator API exposes the official configurator for new Mercedes-Benz cars and vans, market by market. Browse markets, vehicle classes, bodies, product groups and models with their list prices and technical data; start from a model's initial configuration, list the selectable equipment, apply changes and get the priced alternatives, check that a configuration is buildable, move it to another model, and get image URLs of the configured vehicle and of its components and equipment. A configuration can be saved under a short online code and reloaded later. The Model Overview tools give a lighter catalogue of models by class, body type, model series or baumuster. Authentication is an API key from a Mercedes-Benz /developers console project subscribed to the Car Configurator, sent in the x-api-key header.
Say what should happen.
The workflow builds itself.
What you can do with Mercedes-Benz Car Configurator
Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.
Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.
Market, 4 operations
get_marketGet marketGETReturns one market by marketId (de_DE): its country, language, market type and links to its bodies, classes, models and product groups.list_marketsList marketsGETLists the markets the configurator serves (marketId such as de_DE, with country and language). Filter with language or country (ISO codes); the marketId is what every other tool takes.list_model_overviewList model overviewGETLists the vehicle models of a market (Model Overview) grouped by class and body type; filter by sub-body type, sub-brands, category or product groups, and set technicalData to false to leave out technical data.list_model_overview_marketsList model overview marketsGETLists the countries and languages the Model Overview tools support. Combine a language and its country as language_country (de_DE) to form the modelLocale those tools take.
Class, 2 operations
list_classesList classesGETLists the vehicle classes sold in a market (A-KLASSE, C-KLASSE...), with classId and name. Filter with classId, bodyId or productGroups; classId then filters list_models.list_model_overview_by_classList model overview by classGETLists the Model Overview models of one vehicle class in a market, grouped by body type.
Component, 2 operations
get_component_imagesGet component imagesGETReturns image URLs (JPG, PNG for wheels) of the configuration's components, such as paint, trim, upholstery and rims, in SMALL and LARGE sizes.list_model_componentsList model componentsGETLists every component (equipment, paints, upholsteries, wheels, packages...) offered for a model in a market, grouped by component category.
Equipment, 2 operations
get_equipment_imageGet equipment imageGETReturns image URLs (JPG) of one equipment item of the configuration, by equipment code, in SMALL (230x131) and LARGE (1024x576) sizes.get_equipment_imagesGet equipment imagesGETReturns image URLs (JPG) of every equipment item of the configuration, keyed by equipment code, in SMALL (230x131) and LARGE (1024x576) sizes.
Model, 2 operations
get_modelGet modelGETReturns one model in a market: names, baumuster, model year, list price, offer and technical information, and links to start configuring it.list_modelsList modelsGETLists the models sold in a market with modelId, name, baumuster, model year, list price and technical data. Filter by classId, bodyId, baumuster, product group or customer group.
Onlinecode, 2 operations
get_configuration_by_online_codeGet configuration by online codeGETReturns the full priced configuration saved under an online code, for the given market.save_configuration_online_codeSave configuration online codePOSTSaves a configuration (modelId and configurationId) and returns an 8-character online code that get_configuration_by_online_code reloads later.
Vehicle, 2 operations
get_vehicleGet vehicleGETReturns the vehicle (configuration and model) for a vehicleId: marketId__modelId__configurationId, as the vehicleId field of get_configuration gives it. An invalid or incomplete configuration is healed automatically; healed says whether it was.get_vehicle_imagesGet vehicle imagesGETReturns 1920x1080 image URLs of the configured vehicle for the requested perspectives (default EXT020 and INT1), in WEBP by default, with options for background, night and open roof.
Alternative, 1 operation
get_configuration_alternativesGet configuration alternativesGETApplies changes to a configuration (components to add and remove) and returns the priced alternatives: added, removed and updated components, buildable flag, new configurationId.
