Melissa integration

Melissa (Melissa Data) contact data quality Cloud APIs: verify and standardize global postal addresses, autocomplete addresses as they are typed, verify email addresses and phone numbers, parse and genderize names, look up US business firmographics, find postal codes near a coordinate, compute driving distance, resolve a Melissa Address Key, and check license usage. Calls consume Melissa credits or subscription transactions (credit packs from $40 for 10,000; per-call costs are in each tool). Errors arrive as HTTP 200 with a GE code in TransmissionResults (ResultCode for the address autocomplete and search tools, TransmissionResult for driving distance). Throughput is about 5 records per second on credits, more on subscriptions; HTTP 429 means wait a second and resend. Melissa's terms limit free trials, trial keys and sample data to evaluating Melissa products, and forbid using trial, sample or demonstration output to develop, train or improve AI or machine learning models. Not included: the people and identity services (Personator, Personator Search, SSN Name Match, People Business Search, SmartMover, Property, LeadGen, Data Retriever), IP location, the street-address reverse geocoder, Cicero, Contribution, Token Server, Melissa Releases and every POST batch route (they take the key in the body). Not returned: business contacts and EINs, email domain owner contact details and MX hosts, phone caller ID names. Authentication: your Melissa license key, sent as the id query parameter.

The workflow builds itself.

When this happens, do that in Melissa.Built from the 16 Melissa tools below, on the connection you add once.

What you can do with Melissa

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

Use Melissa from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect Melissa in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Melissa operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

How to connect Melissa

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect Melissa once

Add your Melissa connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
