MagicSlides integration

MagicSlides generates designed slide decks with AI. With this API you can list MagicSlides' designed templates, get the slot schema of a template and render a finished deck from slot text you wrote yourself (free), have MagicSlides write a deck from a topic (uses MagicSlides AI credits), or generate a deck in the MagicSlides editor or from an HTML template (billed per deck), each returning share, edit, PDF or PPTX links. Not exposed: the streaming HTML Studio generation and its model list (a stream of 2 to 5 minutes) and the legacy api.magicslides.app routes, which take the API key inside the request body. Authentication is a MagicSlides API key (ms-api-...) created in Dashboard, Settings, sent in the x-api-key header.

Ask it in chat

Say what should happen.
The workflow builds itself.

When this happens, do that in MagicSlides.Built from the 7 MagicSlides tools below, on the connection you add once.

What you can do with MagicSlides

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

Studio presentation, 2 operations

  • create_presentation_from_slotsCreate presentation from slotsPOSTRenders a finished deck from slot text you wrote for a slots-ready template (from get_template_schema). MagicSlides writes none of the copy, so it is free. Returns preview image, slideshow, share, edit and PDF links.
  • create_studio_presentationCreate studio presentationPOSTHas MagicSlides write and design a deck from a topic (uses MagicSlides AI credits; up to about 40 s). Prefer get_template_schema + create_presentation_from_slots unless the user wants MagicSlides to write the copy.

Editable presentation, 1 operation

  • generate_editable_presentationGenerate editable presentationPOSTGenerates a deck from a topic and returns a MagicSlides editor link where it can be edited, downloaded as PPTX or exported to PDF. Billed per deck ($0.50 per the MagicSlides API docs).

Html template, 1 operation

  • list_html_templatesList html templatesGETLists the templates generate_html_template_presentation accepts, as MagicSlides returns them (the docs do not describe the answer's fields). Pass mode=proslides for the HTML-output templates only.

Html template presentation, 1 operation

  • generate_html_template_presentationGenerate html template presentationPOSTGenerates a deck from a topic in one of MagicSlides' HTML templates and returns per-slide HTML plus present, PPTX and PDF links. Billed per deck ($0.50 per the MagicSlides API docs).

Studio template, 1 operation

  • list_studio_templatesList studio templatesGETLists MagicSlides' designed templates (templateKey, name, category, slotsReady). A template with slotsReady true can be filled with your own text through get_template_schema and create_presentation_from_slots (free).

Template schema, 1 operation

  • get_template_schemaGet template schemaGETReturns the slots to fill for a slots-ready template: per slide a layoutKey and slot keys with one-line guidance, plus an example body to clone. Write every slot, then call create_presentation_from_slots. Free.

Use MagicSlides from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect MagicSlides in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its MagicSlides operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

How to connect MagicSlides

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect MagicSlides once

Add your MagicSlides connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
