Integration

Lumin PDF integration

Lumin is a PDF and eSignature platform. Send documents for signature from public file URLs or from templates, track, remind, extend and cancel signature requests, get signing links and embedded signing sessions, and download signed files and certificates; fill templates into PDFs and AgreementGen documents; merge, split, compress, password-protect, summarize and translate PDFs (results come back as temporary download links); and read the user, workspace, members, spaces and templates. Sending a signature request or a reminder emails real people. Not exposed: uploading a stored file directly (pass a public URL instead; the PDF processing tools accept only api.luminpdf.com or Amazon S3 URLs, or the id of a document saved with create_document). Authentication is a workspace API key (Settings > Developer settings > API keys, Workspace Owner only) sent in the X-API-KEY header.

Ask it in chat

Say what should happen.
The workflow builds itself.

When this happens, do that in Lumin PDF.Built from the 27 Lumin PDF tools below, on the connection you add once.

What you can do with Lumin PDF

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

File, 2 operations

  • get_agreement_fileGet agreement fileGETReturns a temporary download link (signed_url) for an AgreementGen document's PDF, with its expiry time.
  • get_signature_request_fileGet signature request fileGETReturns a temporary download link for a signature request's file: the agreement (default), its Certificate of Completion (coc) or both merged. coc and merged need the request to be APPROVED.

Info, 2 operations

  • get_user_infoGet user infoGETReturns the user the API key belongs to: id, email and name. Useful to check that the connection works.
  • get_workspace_infoGet workspace infoGETReturns the authorized workspace: id, name, owner, creation time, the caller's role, and the number of members and spaces.

Signature request, 2 operations

  • get_signature_requestGet signature requestGETReturns a signature request: title, status (with the failure reason), signing type, creation, update and expiry times, and each signer's email, name, group and signing status.
  • update_signature_requestUpdate signature requestPATCHChanges the expiry date of a signature request. Only its creator can do it, and only while the status is NEED_TO_SIGN or WAITING_FOR_OTHERS.

Space, 2 operations

  • create_spaceCreate spacePOSTCreates a space in the workspace and invites the listed workspace members (user_id from list_workspace_members, with a role). Members that cannot be invited are skipped and reported in member_invite_notice.
  • list_spacesList spacesGETLists the spaces of the authorized workspace, a page at a time: space id, name, the caller's role, number of members and creation time.

Template, 2 operations

  • get_templateGet templateGETReturns a template's signing type, signer roles, and the merge tags, form fields, variables and collections it expects, with which are required. Use it before filling a template.
  • list_templatesList templatesGETLists the workspace's templates (AgreementGen, Sign and PDF), a page at a time: template id with its type prefix, type, name, and creation and update times.

Add password, 1 operation

  • add_document_passwordAdd document passwordPOSTAdds or changes the password of a PDF (Business plans only) and returns a temporary download link to the encrypted file, valid 30 minutes. Pass current_password when the document already has one.

Agreement, 1 operation

  • create_agreementCreate agreementPOSTCreates an AgreementGen document from an AgreementGen template (ag_ prefix) with its variables, fields and collections filled. Returns its id and a preview link; get_agreement_file downloads it.

Cancel, 1 operation

  • cancel_signature_requestCancel signature requestPUTCancels a signature request. Returns the request id and its new status.

Compress, 1 operation

  • compress_documentCompress documentPOSTCompress a PDF document to reduce its file size and return a temporary download URL. The document can be specified by a Lumin document ID or by a publicly accessible file URL.

Document, 1 operation

  • create_documentCreate documentPOSTSaves a document in the workspace, a space or the personal area, either from a public file URL (method file-upload) or from a PDF template with form fields filled (method template).

Generate document, 1 operation

  • generate_template_documentGenerate template documentPOSTFills a template with merge tags, form fields, variables and collections and returns a temporary download link to the generated PDF. Every tag and field the template marks required must be given.

Member, 1 operation

  • list_workspace_membersList workspace membersGETLists the workspace's members, a page at a time (10, 25 or 50 per page): user id, email, name, role, join time and last activity.

Merge, 1 operation

  • merge_documentsMerge documentsPOSTMerge multiple documents into a single PDF file and return a temporary download URL. Documents can be specified by Lumin document IDs (must already exist in the current Workspace) or by publicly accessible file URLs.

Remind, 1 operation

  • send_reminder_emailsSend reminder emailsPOSTEmails a reminder to the listed signers who still need to sign (status NEED_TO_SIGN); signers who already signed get nothing. At most 10 reminders per signer per day.

Remove password, 1 operation

  • remove_document_passwordRemove document passwordPOSTRemove password protection from a PDF document and return the unprotected file as a temporary download URL. The document can be specified by a Lumin document ID or by a publicly accessible file URL. The document must currently be password-protected.

Send, 1 operation

  • send_signature_requestSend signature requestPOSTCreates a signature request from one or more public file URLs and sends it to the signers by email (one group after another when signing_type is ORDER). Pass exactly one of file_url or file_urls.

Send from template, 1 operation

  • send_signature_request_from_templateSend signature request from templatePOSTCreates a signature request from a Lumin template, filling its merge tags, form fields, variables and collections, and sends it to the signers by email. Read the template's required values with get_template first.

Signing link, 1 operation

  • get_signing_linkGet signing linkPOSTReturns the link a given signer opens to sign the request, to present it inside your own app instead of the email. Whoever opens the link acts as that signer: give it only to them.

Signing session, 1 operation

  • create_signing_sessionCreate signing sessionPOSTReturns a short-lived sign_url (15 minutes by default) for one signer or viewer, to load in Lumin's embedded signing iframe. It carries a session token: whoever opens it acts as that recipient. The request must have been created through this API.

Split, 1 operation

  • split_documentSplit documentPOSTSplit or extract pages from a PDF document into one or more output files and return a temporary download URL. The document can be specified by a Lumin document ID or by a publicly accessible file URL.

Summarize, 1 operation

  • summarize_documentSummarize documentPOSTGenerates an AI summary of a PDF's text (English, Spanish, French, Vietnamese or Portuguese) and returns it with the detected language. Summaries are cached; regenerate forces a new one and counts against the rate limit.

Translate, 1 operation

  • translate_documentTranslate documentPOSTTranslate a PDF document into a target language while preserving the original formatting, layout, and images. The API auto-detects the source language, translates the text content, and returns a temporary download URL for the translated file.

Use Lumin PDF from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect Lumin PDF in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Lumin PDF operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

How to connect Lumin PDF

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect Lumin PDF once

Add your Lumin PDF connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
