Listen Notes integration
Listen Notes is a podcast search engine and directory. Search podcasts, episodes and curated lists by keyword, find episodes by title, get podcast and episode details with their audio URLs, browse best podcasts by genre and region, get recommendations and audience by region, look up podcasts by publisher domain, submit or refresh a podcast RSS feed, and manage your own playlists. Batch fetch, related searches, spellcheck and RSS refresh need a PRO or ENTERPRISE plan. The deletion request reserved for podcast hosting services is not included. Authentication is an API key sent in the X-ListenAPI-Key header.

What you can do with Listen Notes
Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.
Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.
Playlist, 5 operations
create_playlistCreate playlistPOSTCreate an empty playlist owned by the API admin. Name is required; description defaults to an empty string, visibility defaults to public, and type defaults to episode_list.delete_playlistDelete playlistDELETEPermanently delete a playlist, including all episode and podcast references saved in this specific playlist and their notes.get_playlistGet playlistGETFetch a playlist's details and its items (episodes, custom audio or podcasts). A playlist holds episodes and podcasts in two views: type selects episode_list or podcast_list, else the saved default view is used.list_playlistsList playlistsGETThis endpoint lists playlists with an active membership for the API admin, including playlists they created or joined.update_playlistUpdate playlistPUTUpdate any subset of name, description, visibility, and type. Omitted fields remain unchanged; at least one field is required. Switching to private rotates the playlist RSS secret.
Item, 3 operations
add_playlist_itemAdd playlist itemPOSTAdd an episode or a podcast to a playlist, with optional notes. Provide exactly one non-empty episode_id or podcast_id; an empty unused ID field is ignored. An item already in the playlist is reused (notes replaced only when supplied).delete_playlist_itemDelete playlist itemDELETEDelete a playlist item. Repeating deletion of the same item succeeds. This does not delete the episode or podcast from the podcast database.update_playlist_item_notesUpdate playlist item notesPUTReplace the notes of one playlist item, or send an empty string to clear them. The item ID and added_at_ms remain unchanged.
