Giftbit integration

Giftbit orders digital gift card rewards and delivers them by Giftbit email or as links you hand out yourself. An agent can browse reward brands and regions, place email or shortlink orders, direct link orders and single in-app (embedded) rewards, read orders and their link URLs, list, resend or cancel individual rewards, read the account balance by currency and top it up from the card on file. Every order spends the account balance, an email order emails each recipient at once, and add_funds charges a real credit card in Production. Authentication is a Giftbit API token (Account, API keys) sent as a Bearer token; the connection also picks the environment, api for Production or api-testbed for the Testbed, each with its own token.

Ask it in chat

Say what should happen.
The workflow builds itself.

When this happens, do that in Giftbit.Built from the 15 Giftbit tools below, on the connection you add once.

What you can do with Giftbit

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Each badge shows the default agent permission of an endpoint (allowed: an agent calls it without asking; ask first: you are asked before an agent calls it, when the agent or chat asks permission for sensitive actions; never: no agent may call it), which every user can change endpoint by endpoint in their credential settings.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

Reward, 4 operations

  • cancel_rewardCancel rewardDELETEAgents: ask firstCancels a reward and returns it, its status now GIVER_CANCELLED. A reward the recipient already claimed, or an embedded (in-app) reward, cannot be cancelled.
  • get_rewardGet rewardGETAgents: ask firstReturns one reward with its status, delivery status, redelivery count, brand, price, dates and order identifiers.
  • list_rewardsList rewardsGETAgents: ask firstLists rewards you ordered (any delivery type) with status, delivery status, brand, price and recipient (personal data: name and email). Filter by order, status, dates, price or recipient; page with limit and offset.
  • resend_rewardResend rewardPUTAgents: ask firstSends the reward to its recipient again (another delivery attempt) and returns the reward with its new redelivery_count. Rewards delivered in-app (create_embedded_reward) cannot be resent.

Balance, 2 operations

  • add_fundsAdd fundsPOSTAgents: ask firstCharges the credit card on file for the currency and adds the amount to the account balance; returns the new balance. In Production this is a real card payment. A card must first be saved in the Giftbit web app.
  • get_fundsGet fundsGETAgents: ask firstReturns the account balance per currency: fundsbycurrency maps a currency code (USD, CAD, ...) to available_in_cents, pending_in_cents and reserved_in_cents.

Brand, 2 operations

  • get_brandGet brandGETAgents: ask firstReturns one brand with its regions, funding currency, whether it can be delivered in-app (embedded) and its allowed prices: a fixed list (allowed_prices_in_cents) or a range (min/max_price_in_cents).
  • list_brandsList brandsGETAgents: ask firstLists reward brands you can order, filtered by region, price, currency or search text, paged by limit and offset. Each brand gives the brand_code to pass to create_order, create_direct_link_order or create_embedded_reward.

Order, 2 operations

  • create_orderCreate orderPOSTAgents: ask firstPlaces a reward order paid from the account balance. delivery_type GIFTBIT_EMAIL makes Giftbit email a reward to each contact at once; SHORTLINK sends nothing and the links come from get_order_links.
  • get_orderGet orderGETAgents: ask firstReturns one order with its status (API_CREATING, AWAITING_FUNDS or CAMPAIGN_CREATED), delivery type, brands or region, price, expiry, fees and, for email orders, its contacts.

Account, 1 operation

  • pingPingGETAgents: ask firstChecks that the API token works for the chosen environment and returns the account's username and display name.

Direct link order, 1 operation

  • create_direct_link_orderCreate direct link orderPOSTAgents: ask firstPlaces a direct link order paid from the account balance and returns the reward URLs at once (direct_links). Each URL leads straight to the claim steps, with minimal Giftbit branding; you deliver it yourself.

Embedded reward, 1 operation

  • create_embedded_rewardCreate embedded rewardPOSTAgents: ask firstPlaces a single reward for one brand, paid from the account balance, for in-app delivery: returns gift_link, the page where the recipient reveals the reward code. Embedded rewards are claimed at once and cannot be cancelled or resent.

Order link, 1 operation

  • get_order_linksGet order linksGETAgents: ask firstReturns the reward URLs of a shortlink order (shortlinks) or direct link order (directlinks). Until they are generated it answers with info.code INFO_LINKS_GENERATION_IN_PROGRESS and no links: retry a few minutes later.

Region, 1 operation

  • list_regionsList regionsGETAgents: ask firstLists the regions (id and name, such as Canada, USA, Global, Australia). Pass an id to list_brands to filter brands.

Use Giftbit from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect Giftbit in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Giftbit operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

How to connect Giftbit

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect Giftbit once

Add your Giftbit connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
