Genderize.io integration

Genderize.io predicts the gender behind a person's name: send a first name or a full name and get back male or female with a probability between 0 and 1 and the number of name records behind the prediction, optionally scoped to one country's data. Useful to personalize greetings, enrich contact lists, or analyze the gender split of a dataset. Only the single-name lookup is exposed; the batch form that takes repeated name[] parameters is not. Genderize is run by Demografix, and the same API key also works on Agify and Nationalize. Authentication is an API key from the Genderize account dashboard, sent as the apikey query parameter; usage is counted per name against the monthly quota of the plan (the free tier includes 1,000 names per month, and a request over the limit is refused with HTTP 429).

The workflow builds itself.

When this happens, do that in Genderize.io.Built from the 1 Genderize.io tool below, on the connection you add once.

What you can do with Genderize.io

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

  • predict_genderPredict genderGETPredicts the gender of a name: returns gender (male, female, or null when unknown), probability between 0 and 1, and count (records behind it). Pass country_id to use one country's data. A full name predicts better.

Use Genderize.io from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect Genderize.io in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Genderize.io operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

How to connect Genderize.io

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect Genderize.io once

Add your Genderize.io connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
