Integration

Flickr integration

Flickr is a photo-sharing community, and this integration reads its public data. Search public photos by text, tags, owner, Creative Commons or other licence, date, group pool and location; read a photo's details, its available sizes with direct image URLs, and its EXIF metadata; look up a user by username and read their profile, public photos, favourites and albums; and read galleries, groups, group pools and group discussions. Every answer carries stat: ok, or fail with an error code and message. Uploading, editing, private photos and anything else that needs OAuth 1.0a request signing is not included, nor are the photo-context and test routes. Authentication is a Flickr API key sent as the api_key query parameter; commercial use needs Flickr's approval.

The workflow builds itself.

When this happens, do that in Flickr.Built from the 16 Flickr tools below, on the connection you add once.

What you can do with Flickr

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

Group topic, 2 operations

  • get_group_topicGet group topicGETReturns one discussion topic of a Flickr group: subject, opening message, author and role, reply count, creation and last-post dates and the id of the last reply.
  • list_group_topicsList group topicsGETLists the discussion topics of a Flickr group, one page at a time, each with its subject, opening message, author, reply count and creation and last-post dates.

Photo, 2 operations

  • get_photo_infoGet photo infoGETReturns the details of one photo: title, description, owner (NSID, username, real name, location), licence id, upload and taken dates, visibility, comment count, notes, tags and the URL of its photo page. Only photos the caller may view are returned.
  • search_photosSearch photosGETSearches public photos by text, tags, owner, licence, date, group, place or media type. One page: 100 by default, up to 500 (geo at most 250). A geo search with no other filter covers only the last 12 hours. No image URLs: use get_photo_sizes.

User, 2 operations

  • find_user_by_usernameFind user by usernameGETLooks up a Flickr user by username and returns their NSID, the user id the other tools take as user_id.
  • get_personGet personGETReturns a Flickr user's public profile: username, real name, location, Pro status, the URLs of their photostream and profile, and their photo count and first upload date.

Album, 1 operation

  • list_albumsList albumsGETLists a Flickr user's albums (photosets) in the order the user arranged them, each with its id, title, description, photo and video counts, view and comment counts, creation and update dates and its primary (cover) photo.

Album photo, 1 operation

  • get_album_photosGet album photosGETLists the photos in one album (photoset), 500 per page by default, each with id, title, server, secret and whether it is the cover photo. No image URLs: get them with get_photo_sizes (or build them from server, id and secret).

Gallery photo, 1 operation

  • get_gallery_photosGet gallery photosGETLists the photos in a Flickr gallery (a curated selection of other people's photos), with the curator's comment on each photo when there is one. No image URLs: get them with get_photo_sizes (or build them from server, id and secret).

Group, 1 operation

  • get_groupGet groupGETReturns information about a Flickr group: name, description, member count, privacy, language, whether its pool is moderated, the posting limit (throttle) and which kinds of content the pool accepts.

Group photo, 1 operation

  • list_group_photosList group photosGETLists the photos in a group's pool, optionally only those added by one member or carrying one tag, with the date each was added. No image URLs: get them with get_photo_sizes (or build them from server, id and secret).

License, 1 operation

  • list_licensesList licensesGETLists the licences Flickr photos can carry, from All Rights Reserved to the Creative Commons licences, Public Domain Dedication (CC0) and Public Domain Mark, each with the id that search_photos accepts in license and the URL of its terms.

Photo exif, 1 operation

  • get_photo_exifGet photo exifGETReturns the EXIF, TIFF and GPS metadata of a photo, such as camera make and model, aperture, exposure, focal length and GPS position, each tag with its raw value and, where available, a readable cleaned value. Owners can refuse to share EXIF data.

Photo size, 1 operation

  • get_photo_sizesGet photo sizesGETLists every available size of a photo (Square 75 px up to Original) with width, height and direct image URL (source): the way to get a downloadable image URL. The owner may withhold larger sizes and the original.

User favorite, 1 operation

  • list_user_public_favoritesList user public favoritesGETLists the public photos a Flickr user has marked as favourites, optionally limited to a period, one page at a time (100 by default, up to 500). No image URLs: get them with get_photo_sizes (or build them from server, id and secret).

User photo, 1 operation

  • list_user_public_photosList user public photosGETLists the public photos of one Flickr user, one page at a time (100 by default, up to 500). No image URLs: get them with get_photo_sizes (or build them from server, id and secret).

Use Flickr from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect Flickr in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Flickr operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

How to connect Flickr

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect Flickr once

Add your Flickr connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
