Fiwano integration
Fiwano is one messaging API over Meta's official WhatsApp Cloud API, Instagram Messaging API and Facebook Messenger API. Send text, media, interactive (buttons, cards, quick replies, lists) and approved WhatsApp template messages, manage WhatsApp templates, read and configure connected channels (webhook URL and events, subscription slot), connect a customer's channel through Meta sign-in, download received media and look up Instagram or Facebook sender profiles. Media, interactive messages and templates need a Pro license ($19 a month per channel set; Starter, $12, covers text). Sends are limited to 10 per second per channel and every other call to 20 per second per API key; Meta's 24-hour messaging window applies and Meta bills WhatsApp template sends. Incoming messages arrive by webhook, not through these tools. Webhook signing secrets are never returned by these tools: pass your own webhook_secret when you set a webhook URL, or set one in the Fiwano portal's channel settings. Authentication is an API key (starts with mip_live_, created on the portal's API Keys page and shown once) sent in the X-API-Key header.
Say what should happen.
The workflow builds itself.
What you can do with Fiwano
Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.
Each badge shows the default agent permission of an endpoint (allowed: an agent calls it without asking; ask first: you are asked before an agent calls it, when the agent or chat asks permission for sensitive actions; never: no agent may call it), which every user can change endpoint by endpoint in their credential settings.
Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.
Channel, 5 operations
deactivate_channelDeactivate channelDELETEAgents: ask firstDeactivates a channel (soft delete): it stops sending and receiving at once, but keeps its channel_id, history, settings and Meta ownership, and still holds its subscription slot. The connect flow for the same Meta account reactivates it.exchange_channel_codeExchange channel codePOSTAgents: ask firstFinishes a channel connection: exchanges the one-time code your redirect_uri received (single use, valid 5 minutes) for the channel_id and identifiers, optionally setting the webhook. Never returns the webhook signing secret.get_channelGet channelGETAgents: ask firstReturns one channel by channel_id: type, name, health (ok or action_required with Meta's reason), Meta identifiers, webhook URL and events, whether a signing secret is set, and subscription state. 404 when it is not in this account.list_channelsList channelsGETAgents: ask firstLists every channel of the account (active and deactivated WhatsApp numbers, Instagram accounts and Facebook Pages) with its id, health, Meta identifiers, webhook settings and subscription state. Pass id as channel_id to the other tools.update_channelUpdate channelPATCHAgents: ask firstChanges a channel's webhook (URL, events, echo statuses, signing secret) or moves it to another subscription. Fields left out stay as they are. This tool never returns the signing secret: send your own webhook_secret to know it.
Template, 5 operations
create_templateCreate templatePOSTAgents: ask firstCreates a WhatsApp message template and submits it to Meta for review (status PENDING, usually decided within 24 hours). Pro license. BODY is required, headers are text only; Meta allows about 100 creations per hour per Business Account.delete_templateDelete templateDELETEAgents: ask firstDeletes a WhatsApp template at Meta: only this language version, or every language when all_languages is true. Irreversible, and an approved template's name cannot be reused for 30 days.get_templateGet templateGETAgents: ask firstReturns one WhatsApp template by template_id, refreshed from Meta (the last known data when Meta cannot be reached): status, rejected reason, quality score, components, and variables with their example values.list_templatesList templatesGETAgents: ask firstLists the WhatsApp message templates of a WhatsApp channel's Business Account, refreshed from Meta: status, category, language, components and variable definitions. Every number of the same WhatsApp Business Account shares these templates.update_templateUpdate templatePUTAgents: ask firstReplaces ALL components of a WhatsApp template (no partial update) and sends it back to Meta for review. Only APPROVED, REJECTED or PAUSED templates; approved ones allow 10 edits per 30 days, 1 per 24 hours. Read get_template first.
Message, 4 operations
send_interactive_messageSend interactive messagePOSTAgents: ask firstSends a real message the user answers with a tap: text plus exactly one of buttons, cards, quick_replies (Instagram, Messenger) or list (WhatsApp). Pro license, 24-hour window only. A tap arrives as message.received with button_id.send_media_messageSend media messagePOSTAgents: ask firstSends a real image, audio, video, document or sticker message; Meta fetches media_url during the call (up to 30 s). Pro license, Meta's 24-hour window applies. Read status: sent, queued (do not resend) or failed (see error, error_code).send_template_messageSend template messagePOSTAgents: ask firstSends a real approved WhatsApp template to a phone number (with country code, no +), the way to message outside the 24-hour window. Meta bills every template send. Pro license. Never retried: a Meta refusal returns status failed.send_text_messageSend text messagePOSTAgents: ask firstSends a real text message from a channel to a person: WhatsApp phone number without +, Instagram IGSID or Facebook PSID. Meta's 24-hour window applies. Read status: sent, queued (do not resend) or failed (see error, error_code).
Redirect uri, 3 operations
create_redirectCreate redirectPOSTAgents: ask firstWhitelists a redirect URI for the channel-connection flow of this API key. HTTPS only, no localhost; an exact URI is preferred, a wildcard only in the path, the query or a whole left-most host label (https://*.example.com/*).delete_redirectDelete redirectDELETEAgents: ask firstRemoves a whitelisted redirect URI of this API key; create_channel_setup_url then refuses that redirect_uri.list_redirectsList redirectsGETAgents: ask firstLists the redirect URIs whitelisted for this API key, with their ids. The redirect_uri passed to create_channel_setup_url must match one of these patterns.
Channel setup url, 1 operation
create_channel_setup_urlCreate channel setup urlPOSTAgents: ask firstCreates a link that lets a user connect (or reconnect) a WhatsApp number, Instagram account or Facebook Page through Meta's sign-in. Whitelist redirect_uri first with create_redirect; the code it receives goes to exchange_channel_code.
Media, 1 operation
download_mediaDownload mediaGETAgents: ask firstDownloads a file received in a message.received webhook and returns it as a stored file. Pro license. Files expire about 60 minutes after Fiwano receives them (then 410); files over 10 MB are not downloadable.
Sender profile, 1 operation
get_sender_profileGet sender profileGETAgents: ask firstReturns the profile of an Instagram or Facebook user who messaged the channel (personal data): Instagram username, name, picture URL, follower count and verified flag; Facebook first name, last name and picture. Not for WhatsApp.
Subscription, 1 operation
list_subscriptionsList subscriptionsGETAgents: ask firstLists the account's subscriptions (tier starter or pro, status, source, expiry, auto-renew, which channel holds each slot) and the free slots per channel type. A positive available_slots.<type>.total means a new channel can be connected.
Use Fiwano from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex
Connect Fiwano in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Fiwano operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

}How to connect Fiwano
- Create your workspace
Sign up free. Nothing to install.
- Connect Fiwano once
Add your Fiwano connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.
- Describe the job in chat
The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
