Figshare integration

Figshare is a research repository where researchers and institutions publish datasets, figures, papers, software and other outputs with DOIs. Search and read published public articles, collections and projects with their files and versions; manage your own items: create and update articles, attach linked files, set authors, categories, embargoes and private sharing links, reserve DOIs and publish; build collections and projects with notes and collaborators; and, for institution accounts, read groups, accounts, roles and curation reviews and comment on reviews. Not exposed: file byte uploads and downloads (both go through separate Figshare file hosts; every file record carries its download_url), OAuth token routes, institution account provisioning and role changes, HR feed and custom-field file uploads, the Symplectic Elements integration routes, and the deprecated confidentiality and group custom-field routes. Authentication is a Figshare personal token (Applications page of your account) sent as Authorization: token <TOKEN>; public read tools also answer without one.

What you can do with Figshare

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.
