Customer Fields integration

Customer Fields is a Shopify app (by Helium) that stores extra, merchant-defined data on a store's customers through custom forms. Search, read, create and update customers with their standard Shopify fields and custom data columns (saved to Customer Fields and Shopify), send a customer the Shopify account invitation email, list the store's data columns, forms and segments and the customers of a segment, read the shop's plan and customer count, list event names, and subscribe to or unsubscribe from webhooks for customer creation, update, form submission, events and segment entry. Customer records are personal data. REST API access needs the app's Advanced plan. Authentication is a private access token created on the Account page of the Customer Fields app, sent as a Bearer token.

The workflow builds itself.

When this happens, do that in Customer Fields.Built from the 15 Customer Fields tools below, on the connection you add once.

What you can do with Customer Fields

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

Customer, 4 operations

  • create_customerCreate customerPOSTCreates a customer in Customer Fields and Shopify from data column values. With form_id the form's settings apply: a form that requires account approval creates the customer in the cf:pending state, not yet saved to Shopify.
  • get_customerGet customerGETReturns one customer, looked up by its Customer Fields id or its Shopify id: standard Shopify fields, addresses, state and every custom data column. Personal data.
  • list_segment_customersList segment customersGETLists the customers in one segment, one page at a time, with their standard and custom data. Personal data.
  • update_customerUpdate customerPUTUpdates a customer in Customer Fields and Shopify with the data column values given; other columns keep their values. Returns the updated customer.

Webhook, 3 operations

  • create_webhookCreate webhookPOSTSubscribes a URL to a Customer Fields webhook topic. Without reference_id, an existing webhook on the same topic is returned instead of a new one.
  • delete_webhookDelete webhookDELETEUnsubscribes the webhook with the given topic (and reference_id, when the webhook was created with one).
  • list_webhooksList webhooksGETLists the webhooks this connection is subscribed to: id, topic, delivery URL, resource and reference ids, and dates.

Segment, 2 operations

  • get_segmentGet segmentGETReturns one customer segment: name, dates, whether it is still processing, and its search definition (filter groups, sort and the data columns it shows).
  • list_segmentsList segmentsGETLists the store's customer segments with their id and name, and whether a webhook can subscribe to the segment (allow_subscriptions).

Data column, 1 operation

  • list_data_columnsList data columnsGETLists the store's data columns (standard Shopify fields and custom columns): key, label, data type, whether read-only, dedicated or archived. A customer's data uses these keys; a key with a dot is a child of a group column.

Event name, 1 operation

  • list_event_namesList event namesGETLists the names of the customer events that have occurred in the store (for example form_submitted or account_invite_sent), the values customers/event_add webhooks take as resource_id.

Form, 1 operation

  • list_formsList formsGETLists the store's forms that are not archived, with their id and name. Form ids are what create_customer, update_customer, search_customers and form-submission webhooks take.

Invite, 1 operation

  • send_account_inviteSend account invitePOSTSends the customer the Shopify account invitation email and returns its recipient, sender and subject. The customer must have a shopify_id and must not already be in the enabled state.

Search, 1 operation

  • search_customersSearch customersGETSearches the store's customers, one page at a time, optionally narrowed to one form, a Customer Fields id, a Shopify id, an email or a phone number. Each customer carries its standard and custom data. Personal data.

Shop, 1 operation

  • get_shopGet shopGETReturns the Shopify shop behind the connection: its myshopify domain, Customer Fields plan, number of customers and customer quota, and dates.

Use Customer Fields from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect Customer Fields in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Customer Fields operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

How to connect Customer Fields

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect Customer Fields once

Add your Customer Fields connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
