Canada Holidays API integration

Canada Holidays API is a free JSON service listing the public holidays observed federally and in each of Canada's 13 provinces and territories, for any year from 2013 to 2038. List every holiday of a year with the regions that observe it and its actual and observed dates (moved off a weekend), keep only federal or only non-federal holidays, read one province or territory's holidays together with its next upcoming holiday, or look up one holiday by id. Optional holidays (days employers may choose to give, such as Easter Monday in Alberta) are included on request. Names come in English and French. No credential is needed. The welcome route and the route serving the API's own YAML schema are not exposed.

Say what should happen.
The workflow builds itself.

When this happens, do that in Canada Holidays API.Built from the 4 Canada Holidays API tools below, on the connection you add once.

What you can do with Canada Holidays API

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

Holiday, 2 operations

  • get_holidayGet holidayGETReturns one holiday by its id (1 to 35) with its dates in the requested year and the provinces and territories that observe it. An id above 35 is refused with an error.
  • list_holidaysList holidaysGETLists Canadian public holidays for one year, in date order, each with its id, English and French names, actual date, observed date (which differs when the actual date falls on a weekend), whether federally regulated industries observe it.

Province, 2 operations

  • get_provinceGet provinceGETReturns one province or territory by its two-letter abbreviation, with its official holiday source page, every holiday it observes in the requested year (actual and observed dates) and its next upcoming holiday.
  • list_provincesList provincesGETLists Canada's 13 provinces and territories, each with its official holiday source page, every holiday it observes in the requested year (with actual and observed dates), and its next upcoming holiday. Use get_province for a single region.

Use Canada Holidays API from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect Canada Holidays API in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Canada Holidays API operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.
