Camino AI integration

Camino AI is a location intelligence API built for AI agents, on OpenStreetMap and Overture Maps data. Find places from a natural-language request near a point, geocode a name or address, get a route with distance and duration, compare two points (distance, direction, travel time), describe the surroundings of a location (optionally with weather), plan a multi-stop journey, and run a deep research report on a topic whose recommended venues are checked against OpenStreetMap. Pricing (getcamino.ai pricing and documentation): 100 free calls per month at 30 requests per minute, then pay as you go at $0.001 per call with no monthly cap at 60 requests per minute. Map data is OpenStreetMap (ODbL): products that show it must credit OpenStreetMap contributors. The trial sign-up route and the pay-per-request (x402 wallet) mode are not exposed. Authentication is a Camino API key sent in the X-API-Key header.

Ask it in chat

Say what should happen.
The workflow builds itself.

When this happens, do that in Camino AI.Built from the 8 Camino AI tools below, on the connection you add once.

What you can do with Camino AI

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

Place, 2 operations

  • query_placesQuery placesGETFind points of interest from a natural-language request (quiet cafes with wifi) near lat/lon, ranked by AI relevance, with an optional AI summary. Read-only. Billed as one API call.
  • search_placesSearch placesPOSTGeocode a named place or an address: pass query (free text), structured parts (street, city, country...) or both. Returns matching places with coordinates. Read-only. Billed as one API call.

Research report, 2 operations

  • create_research_reportCreate research reportPOSTResearch a topic on the web (Tavily) and check each recommended venue against OpenStreetMap. Returns the finished report: markdown summary, verified places, citations. Waits for the job and returns the finished result; gives up after 5 minutes.
  • get_research_reportGet research reportGETRead a research report job by job_id: status pending, complete (result holds the report) or failed (error holds the reason). Jobs are deleted 48 hours after submission.

Journey, 1 operation

  • plan_journeyPlan journeyPOSTPlan a multi-stop trip: route optimization across the waypoints, a feasibility check against the time budget and transport mode, and recommendations. Read-only. Billed as one API call.

Place context, 1 operation

  • get_place_contextGet place contextPOSTContext about a location: nearby places, an area description, accessibility and local information, optionally current weather and forecast. Read-only. Billed as one API call.

Route, 1 operation

  • get_routeGet routeGETRoute from a start to an end point by car, bike or foot, with distance and duration. include_geometry=true adds the route geometry for maps; include_imagery=true adds street photos at key waypoints. Billed as one API call.

Spatial relationship, 1 operation

  • get_spatial_relationshipGet spatial relationshipPOSTSpatial relationship between two coordinates: distance, compass direction, travel time estimates and a human-readable description. Read-only. Billed as one API call.

Use Camino AI from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect Camino AI in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Camino AI operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

How to connect Camino AI

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect Camino AI once

Add your Camino AI connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
