BZSt eVatR integration
BZSt eVatR is the official VAT ID confirmation service of Germany's Federal Central Tax Office (Bundeszentralamt fuer Steuern). A German business confirms whether a VAT ID (USt-IdNr.) issued by another EU member state is valid at the time of the query, and with a qualified query also whether the company name, street, postal code and city match that state's register. Every query carries the caller's own German VAT ID; BZSt forwards each query in real time to the member state's tax authority, and its answer record is the proof of a qualified confirmation. BZSt stores every query and its result for twenty years and may make them available to the German state tax authorities. Two helper reads list the status codes with their German messages and the member states with the current availability of their VIES system. No authentication, API key or fee is needed.

What you can do with BZSt eVatR
Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.
Each badge shows the default agent permission of an endpoint (allowed: an agent calls it without asking; ask first: you are asked before an agent calls it, when the agent or chat asks permission for sensitive actions; never: no agent may call it), which every user can change endpoint by endpoint in their credential settings.
Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.
Member state, 1 operation
list_member_statesList member statesGETAgents: ask firstLists the EU member states (and XI, Northern Ireland) with the country prefix used in VAT IDs, the German name and whether that state's VIES system is available right now. Check it when confirm_vat_id fails temporarily.
Status message, 1 operation
list_status_messagesList status messagesGETAgents: ask firstLists every eVatR status code (evatr-NNNN) with its German message, category, HTTP status and the request field it concerns. Use it to explain a status or error code returned by confirm_vat_id.
Vat id, 1 operation
confirm_vat_idConfirm vat idPOSTAgents: ask firstConfirms with Germany's tax office whether an EU VAT ID is valid now. Send your own German VAT ID; add firmenname and ort (strasse, plz optional) for a qualified check of the company data. Read status, then the erg* match letters.

Connect BZSt eVatR in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its BZSt eVatR operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.
