Integration

Blink integration

Blink is an employee app for frontline teams. With a Blink Legacy App token an agent can post rich CardKit cards to the Blink Feed of chosen users, teams or employee ids (with optional push notification, comments and reactions), edit or archive a post, look up a post by your own external id, list the post categories the app defines, look up users of the organisation, and read Blink Forms and their submissions. Not exposed: the Linked Account routes (they return users' stored OAuth tokens); chat messaging is the separate Blink Chat integration. Authentication is a Legacy App token (Admin Portal, Manage Apps, Add token) sent as a Bearer token.

Ask it in chat

Say what should happen.
The workflow builds itself.

When this happens, do that in Blink.Built from the 9 Blink tools below, on the connection you add once.

What you can do with Blink

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

Feed event, 5 operations

  • archive_feed_eventArchive feed eventPOSTArchive (dismiss) a feed post for every recipient, so it leaves their feeds. To dismiss it for one user only, use archive_feed_event_for_user.
  • archive_feed_event_for_userArchive feed event for userPOSTArchive (dismiss) a feed post for a single recipient, leaving it in every other recipient's feed.
  • get_feed_event_id_by_external_idGet feed event id by external idGETLook up the event_id of a feed post from the external_id it was sent with. If several posts share that external_id, which one is returned is undefined.
  • send_feed_eventSend feed eventPOSTPost a CardKit card to the Blink Feed of chosen users (user_ids), teams (group_ids) or employee ids; at least one recipient is needed. Returns data.event_id. With notification_title and notification_text, also sends a push notification.
  • update_feed_eventUpdate feed eventPUTEdit a feed post already sent: replace its card and optionally push a notification about the update to its recipients. Returns code ACCEPTED.

Feed category, 1 operation

  • list_feed_categoriesList feed categoriesGETList the post categories defined on this app in the Admin Portal; each category_id is a valid category for send_feed_event.

Form, 1 operation

  • list_formsList formsGETList the Blink Forms of the organisation (id, name, created_at, updated_at). Pass a form id to list_form_submissions to read its answers.

Form submission, 1 operation

  • list_form_submissionsList form submissionsGETRead the submissions of one Blink Form: who submitted (submitter_id), when (created_at) and each answer with its question. Filter by date with from and to; paginated with page and limit.

User, 1 operation

  • list_usersList usersGETList the users of the organisation, or find one by email, employee_id or user_id. Returns id (u- prefixed, used as user_ids by send_feed_event), names, job title, department and account status. Paginated with page and limit.

Use Blink from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect Blink in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Blink operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

How to connect Blink

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect Blink once

Add your Blink connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
