Integration

Apilio integration

Apilio is a logic layer for smart home automations (IFTTT, Tuya, Hue and others). Read and set the values of boolean, numeric and string variables, read conditions (variable, Tuya device and time conditions) with their current evaluation result, list Logicblocks, evaluate a Logicblock now (which can run its configured actions), and activate or deactivate a Logicblock. Creating or editing conditions, actions and Logicblocks is done in the Apilio web app; the API only lists, reads and updates existing objects. REST API access is included from the Advanced plan up. Rate limit: 60 requests per minute; past it the API refuses requests for 5 minutes. Authentication: HTTP Basic with the API username and password shown on your Apilio profile page (they differ from your web login; the password can be revoked and regenerated there).

Say what should happen.
The workflow builds itself.

When this happens, do that in Apilio.Built from the 19 Apilio tools below, on the connection you add once.

What you can do with Apilio

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

Boolean variable, 3 operations

  • get_boolean_variableGet boolean variableGETGet one boolean variable: its name, current value, last change time and UUID.
  • list_boolean_variablesList boolean variablesGETList every boolean variable of the account with its current value, last change time and UUID.
  • update_boolean_variableUpdate boolean variablePUTSet the value of a boolean variable. This changes live automation state: conditions that read the variable, and Logicblocks evaluated after it, see the new value.

Logicblock, 3 operations

  • evaluate_logicblockEvaluate logicblockPOSTEvaluate a Logicblock now. This acts for real: depending on the result, Apilio may run the Logicblock's configured actions (for example IFTTT or webhook calls that switch devices).
  • list_logicblocksList logicblocksGETList every Logicblock of the account with its active flag, last evaluation result, last change time and UUID.
  • set_logicblock_activeSet logicblock activePATCHActivate or deactivate a Logicblock. This changes live automation: a deactivated Logicblock stops acting until it is activated again.

Numeric variable, 3 operations

  • get_numeric_variableGet numeric variableGETGet one numeric variable: its name, current value, last change time and UUID.
  • list_numeric_variablesList numeric variablesGETList every numeric variable of the account with its current value, last change time and UUID.
  • update_numeric_variableUpdate numeric variablePUTSet the value of a numeric variable. This changes live automation state: conditions that read the variable, and Logicblocks evaluated after it, see the new value.

String variable, 3 operations

  • get_string_variableGet string variableGETGet one string variable: its name, current value, last change time and UUID.
  • list_string_variablesList string variablesGETList every string variable of the account with its current value, last change time and UUID.
  • update_string_variableUpdate string variablePUTSet the value of a string variable. This changes live automation state: conditions that read the variable, and Logicblocks evaluated after it, see the new value.

Timecondition, 2 operations

  • get_time_conditionGet time conditionGETGet one time condition with its current evaluation result (evaluate: true or false).
  • list_time_conditionsList time conditionsGETList the account's time conditions (conditions on time of day or schedules) with name, last change time and UUID.

Tuyacondition, 2 operations

  • get_tuya_conditionGet tuya conditionGETGet one Tuya condition with its current evaluation result (evaluate: true or false).
  • list_tuya_conditionsList tuya conditionsGETList the account's Tuya conditions (conditions on Tuya smart device states) with name, last change time and UUID.

Variablecondition, 2 operations

  • get_variable_conditionGet variable conditionGETGet one variable condition with its current evaluation result (evaluate: true or false).
  • list_variable_conditionsList variable conditionsGETList the account's variable conditions (conditions on variable values) with name, last change time and UUID.

Condition, 1 operation

  • list_conditionsList conditionsGETList every condition (variable, Tuya and time conditions together) with name, last change time and UUID. Read one condition's current result with get_variable_condition, get_tuya_condition or get_time_condition.

Use Apilio from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect Apilio in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Apilio operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

How to connect Apilio

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect Apilio once

Add your Apilio connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
